Partners comprised of the Creswell, Creamer, Guimarin, Markaverich and Northridge families have thoughtfully renovated the north side of the Comanche County square. Two of the three buildings purchased were in complete disrepair and scheduled to be torn down. The two-story building was in excellent condition considering it had been vacant for almost forty years, and the top floor was a time capsul
e of beautiful early twentieth-century design. The two-story building originally housed the Comanche County chapter of the Knights of Pythias. And the primary event space is named Rathbone Hall after the founder of the Knights, Justus H Rathbone. Throughout history, these buildings have housed local businesses such as: The Comanche Chief newspaper, an opera house, hardware store, women’s retail fashion and a drug store. Stone Eagle Beer Garden will occupy the corner space and is scheduled to open in 2017.
