This week we're featuring one of the most versatile and long-lasting flowers in the floral world—the carnation! Don't let its reputation fool you; modern carnations are beautiful, ruffled blooms that add texture, color, and charm to any arrangement.
🌎Where do they come from?: Carnations are originally from countries such as Greece, Italy, and Spain. Today, Colombia is one of the main suppliers.
🎨What colors do they come in?: There are 300 varieties of Carnations. You can also change the color of a white Carnation by placing its stem in colored water; therefore, Carnations can come in all colors!
‼️Fun Facts:
🌸Carnations have been cultivated for over 2,000 years! They were first grown by the ancient Greeks and Romans, and used in ceremonial garlands and decorations.
🌸Cut Carnations can last up to 3 weeks when taken care of properly!
