The rain delayed a little bit of our cleanup but watching the Cardinals play in the new beds this morning I was relieved to see- we have not upset the wildlife. This massive overhaul escalated farther (and faster) than we anticipated at first, but it was done well. We have discovered a few niche details here we are excited about for future projects! But as Andy says- one thing at a time.

(Maybe cutting it a little close? .. but Mr Michael assured us it would be picture perfect for our upcoming events!) We are very excited to see this unfolding and the.vision for the grounds here coming together and we know it is gonna be beautiful. With roses and hydrangeas cascading down the terrace slopes, boxwoods and junipers going in for structure and screening- it will be a dreamy place for events and pictures💚 Thank you! We have begun some long needed repairs with the new year! And I'm always amazed at the things we find when we start a restoration. While Myrtle Terrasse had been patched (of sorts) and all obvious treasures long since removed, a few cool surprises remained deep in the structure. AND we have an answer, I believe to the questions of TO PAINT OR NOT TO PAINT... with the original brick exposed under shutters, we now know what needs to be done. 🤍
