We are proud to share that Columbus Children’s Theatre is one of 22 organizations that have been awarded Operating Support from the Greater Columbus Arts Council, as part of their nearly $12 million investment in Columbus’s arts and cultural community for 2026.

Funding from GCAC plays an essential role in making our work possible, ensuring that we can keep producing phenomenal theatre for the whole family, creating arts education opportunities for the community, and inspiring the next generation of theatre artists.

We are deeply grateful for GCAC's continued support of our work, and of the arts in Columbus!

This version of Beetlejuice might be just over an hour long, but there’s nothing “junior” about this level of talent!

This rehearsal footage features Nora West as Lydia Deetz, giving audiences an early look at the amazing performance she’s bringing to the role!

For parents and caregivers looking for something their teens and tweens will actually be excited to attend, this is a great end-of-summer outing. The show is fast, funny, a little spooky, and packed with talented young performers giving it everything they have.

In just fourteen days, the curtain will rise on Beetlejuice Jr., and months of rehearsals, choreography, music rehearsals, prop building, costume fittings, and creative collaboration will finally come together on stage.

Our cast and creative team have poured so much passion into bringing this strange and unusual story to life, and every rehearsal reminds us just how special this production is going to be. We can't wait to share the laughs, the music, the heartfelt moments, and, of course, a little bit of Netherworld chaos with all of you.

🚌 The Pigeon Has a Plan…

Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! is coming to CCT’s SandBox Series, a playful, interactive theatre experience created especially for our youngest audiences (ages 0–5)!

Based on the beloved Mo Willems book, this devised piece invites little ones to become part of the story. They’ll help make decisions, respond out loud, and maybe even get a chance to tell that very determined pigeon “NO!” as he tries every trick in the book to get behind the wheel.

This isn’t just a show. It’s an introduction to theatre, imagination, and storytelling designed for early learners and their grown-ups to experience together.
Full of laughter, movement, and participation, this SandBox production is the perfect first theatre experience.

Say it once… say it twice… 👻💚

Meet Max Boettcher, who steps into the wild, chaotic world of Beetlejuice Jr. as everyone’s favorite ghost with the most!

Max has loved theatre from a young age and is drawn to the way performance can spark emotion, laughter, and connection with an audience. For him, acting is all about energy, storytelling, and fully committing to the moment, especially when the moment is as unpredictable as Beetlejuice.

Outside of rehearsal, Max enjoys developing board games, reading classic novels, and watching movies with friends.

We’re thrilled to have him leading this incredibly talented cast, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience the humor, heart, and delightful chaos he brings to the Netherworld.

After several years with CCT, Brooke Stiles is stepping away from her role as Marketing and Engagement Coordinator to continue her higher education and begin an exciting new chapter.

Brooke has brought so much heart and care to CCT, especially through the relationships she has built with our audiences, families, artists, and community partners, and her work in growing the org's presence via social media and throughout central Ohio. Her work has helped people feel connected to this organization and brought CCT's visibility to a new level, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has given during her time on staff!

The good news is, you may still see Brooke around CCT from time to time as a Stage Manager!

We’ll miss having her on our staff, but we’re excited to cheer her on in what comes next. Please join us in thanking Brooke and wishing her all the best!
