Save this post 💌 4 things you don’t want to overlook while wedding dress shopping

1.) Timeline�Buying your dress 10-12 months out really is ideal. Designers have varying production timelines, and you want to leave 2-3 months for alterations. We totally understand it can be challenging to make such a big decision so far in advance, but shopping within this timeframe maximizes the options available to you. As you get closer to your date - the options start to dwindle.

2.) Bustling �Most brides don’t think about the bustle until after they’ve chosen the dress, but quite often your dress will be bustled for more than half your day - so you want to make sure you love the dress both ways! Different fabrics and trains require different bustle styles, some of which are more expensive or complex than others. Ask your stylist to mock up examples for you while you’re in the dress!

3.) Comfort�It’s easy to fall in love while standing still in front of the mirror.. but can you sit, walk, hug people, or dance? Mid-appointment twirls are encouraged around here.

4.) Alterations�The timeline and cost of alterations may require multiple appointments leading up to the wedding. Be sure your stylist is guiding you through these options in your appointment.
