When you think about it, flowers and cookies are the perfect pairing- a delight to multiple senses simultaneously. Delicious in every way. I would know. -Chubby Jesus

One full moon ago, a young family stopped by my stand at the library plaza to buy cookies. The wife looked cheerful. The husband looked like chubby Jesus. They had a baby in a trolley.

This couple owns Ghetto Garden, a home garden downtown Columbus. They are Wes and Darion Myers. Darion plants and Wes arranges flowers into beautiful bouquets.

"Will you post about us?" Darion asked. Gladly will, Mr. Gardener.

In many ways, I see similarities between their family and ours: young people who try to produce something meaningful to the world in exchange for a living.

They also do a helluva job with their social media content.
