The flowers still look beautiful from the summer set.
We ran into Wade Hilker at our Ice Cream Social last week, and we were able to express our gratitude for all he does. He shared a bit about his plans for the fall colors, which will be coming soon.
He also teased that he'd like to see Nutcracker-themed window decorations and Christmas trees in the planters this winter.

Take a stroll through the Downtown Trackside District and enjoy the sights of late summer! Our streets are lined with sculptural works of art and beautiful flower containers, each planted with pollinator friendly blooms that attract migrating butterflies and other winged visitors.

Just this past week, Yellow Swallowtail butterflies and Hummingbird Moths have been spotted enjoying the flowers and their nectar. If you spot some of our winged visitors please enjoy them from a distance as we encourage their presence.

This Beautification and Vitalization project is made possible through the collaboration of the Trackside Business Improvement Board, Central Community College - Agricultural Sciences, Nebraska Extension - Platte County 4-H Pollinator Teen Ambassadors and generous grant funding.

So get out there and take advantage of the visual beauty of the current installation of summer blooming plants! Fall is just around the corner.
