Mozart's Experience Europe in Columbus at our award-winning bakery, cafe and event venue! Anand and Doris Saha, the creators of Mozart’s, met in Switzerland in 1989.

Private events 7 days a week Anand studied Hotel Management while Doris completed her training as a professional pastry Chef. When the opportunity to move to Columbus, Ohio arose in 1995, the couple risked everything they had to open their own bakery and make Columbus their home. After struggling for the first few months, they soon found themselves the creators of perhaps the best pastry shop in the city. With the generous support of the Columbus community, Mozart’s has grown famous for authentic European foods and an atmosphere that could not be found anywhere else.

As we reminisce over our most memorable moments here at Mozart’s, today we are looking back with gratitude when we received this award from the PTA, staff, and students of Whetstone High School in 2013 and again in 2022.

Many of you may not know Doris and Anand’s own children Colin and Alex have also graduated from Whetstone High School. And, an interesting fact, Anand was also their grand Marshall in 2018!

Over a decade later, we’re still deeply grateful for every person who made us feel so welcome and appreciated. 💛

we are overjoyed to support all of our local families at Whetstone, and will continue to support them in the future.

We want to stroll down memory lane with you as we countdown some of our most memorable moments at Mozart’s! Let’s relish in the wonderful memories we have shared together over the last 31 years, starting at the very beginning.

This story was featured in the Columbus Dispatch 31 years ago on this day, October 23rd, 1995, capturing the moment when two worlds met. Nick GiAntonio, a local legendary baker known for exquisite wedding cakes, came by for a first meeting with the new owners, Doris and Anand Saha, who came to America with a little savings and a big dream of owning their own European bakery.

Acquiring the old Giantonio’s space, some of its equipment, and even Chuck the Baker, the Sahas fully embraced their new roles – Anand, the front-of-house business man, and Doris, the master pastry chef who brings all of Mozart’s signature pastries and desserts to life.

Paying homage to Doris’ Austrian heritage and their love of music, they named the bakery Mozart’s and became best known as a piano cafe and bakery, later expanding into special events.

Our final themed tea party at Mozart's is coming, and we're saving the best for last. Come sip something festive, linger over something sweet, and wander through our International Christmas Market, where rare vintage finds from around the world are waiting to become someone's favorite gift.🎁

✨Last Week at Mozart’s ✨

💍Laila and Jason’s Wedding
Friday night, Laila and Jason celebrated with friends and family in a ballroom aglow with tall pillar candles, fresh white florals, and beautifully displayed photographs of their love story. A symbolic Persian table honored their heritage, set with candles, flowers, and sweets symbolizing light, joy, and a sweet life together. Guests toasted with special His and Hers cocktails, enjoyed a four-course dinner and European pastries, and kept dancing until late-night pizza arrived. Congratulations, Laila and Jason!

🥂 Amy and Hudson's Wedding
Saturday night, Amy and Hudson celebrated with friends and family over a two-course dinner, European pastries, and cake topped with the most adorable cake toppers. The DJ kept the dance floor full all night, and the love in the room was easy to feel. Congratulations, Amy and Hudson!

Mozart’s has always been community oriented. Over the years we have helped raise funds for multiple disaster relief initiatives.

On this day two years ago, our community came together in a big way to support Patrick McCarthy (formerly Wildflower Cafe) and its neighbors in Ashville, North Carolina following the flooding and devastation brought by Hurricane Helene.

Together, you helped us raise $22,845 through GoFundMe to directly assist hurricane victims! It’s moments like these that remind us how caring and compassionate our community is, and how proud we are to call Clintonville home. ❤️ Thank you!
