It’s all in the wedding details ✨ Sydney shared with me that one of the inspirations for her wedding aesthetic was simply the legacy of beautiful marriages in both she and Evan’s family. When I found a one hundred year old photo album thrifting in her home state of Michigan, I knew it would be the perfect way to craft the table numbers for their wedding day. Beautiful, meaningful, and sustainable!

Maddie was the most glamorous bride and her guests were at the level. These are the kind of pictures I’d tear out of inStyle magazine back in the day to plaster to my wall or notebook for inspiration. I love pictures that capture the energy and intimacy of the evening. Today is for the dads. Nothing makes my heart swell more than the pride and joy beaming from a father’s eyes at the first glimpse of his son or daughter on their wedding day. The look in their eyes of the bittersweet realization that their role is shifting, and the pride of witnessing their life’s best work, their children, full of pride and joy themselves.

And for some, dad lives on only in precious memory and memento- but their love and wisdom remain. Our hearts are with you today, too.

For Maddie & Colin the goal was elegant and refined, but equally warm and welcoming. We wanted the details to feel timeless and lived in, like a classic cafe abroad where the design has stayed the same for decades because it just works- but with that extra special twist of romance and magic only a wedding can bring, of course. We drew inspiration from the Larrabee parties from the film Sabrina, and the special cafes and markets the couple love visiting at home and abroad. And for a couple as beautiful on the inside as they are out, creating something for them felt almost effortless. Now and forever- Maddie & Colin.

Abby came to me wanting an aesthetic that was “simple, classic, and old money.” To get just the right look, I dove deep into the wedding archives of celebrity weddings and 90’s wedding print, especially Martha Stewart Weddings. To achieve the look, we incorporated traditional calligraphy stationery, layered, textured linens, and lush white florals from which we then perfectly spotlit for a dramatic effect. The result? Classic, romantic “it couple” vibes for our own it couple, the Dexters.
