Battle Promotions is a full service entertainment corporation devoted to the
development of undiscovered talent and cultivating an appreciation for the musical arts,
performing arts and theater in all communities. Our company started in 1979 promoting professional concerts and fundraisers for
community organizations such as:
The Columbus Community Health Organization
The
Sickel Cell Association
The American Can Society
Toys for Tots Christmas in conjunction with Ohio Radio Station
The Mayor and other State representatives have recognized our accomplishments at
special functions in our honor. Our organization is staffed by a team of trained
professionals headed by Saundra Hill and John Battle, producer, writer, arranger and
former RCA recording artists. Other representatives include Karl Russell lead singer of the
internationally known Hues Corporation band, Craig Mullen, lead guitarist for the late
Curtis Mayfield, Glen Montgomery, lead singer of the world famous Intruders, and Al
Battle, concert promoter. EVENT MANAGEMENT
Dr. Alfred “Al” Battle is the Founder and CEO of Battle Plan
Promotions a 501 c (3) Entertainment Corporation, established in Columbus Ohio in 1979 as a full service entertainment corporation devoted to the development of
undiscovered talent in all communities, all styles of music, and
to cultivate an understanding, and an appreciation of the
musical arts and theater. The fundamental job is conducting fundraising through concert promotions, while networking
and developing partnerships with National Performing artists who share a common interest in Battle Plan Promotions’ mission. Global branding and overseas networking for the purpose of a career in the entertainment field is the day to day mission. In 2011 Al Battle was the manager for the homeless man, Ted “the Golden Voice” Williams, and
secured a $350.000 book deal, a Kraft macaroni and Cheese Deal, a reality show and a national tour to promote his book. Other artists managed by Dr. Battle were, Fred Rerun Berry, Al Wilson, the Intruders, The
Spinners, Blue Magic, The Hues Corporation, Ike Turner and A Taste of Honey. In the early
‘80’s Alfred went on to be the Bass player for the National RCA recording group The Hues
Corporation hit song “Don’t Rock The Boat” and is still touring with the band on special events. Dr. Battle studied Business Management at UCLA and has a Bachelors Degree, with a major in Marketing & Promotions. He obtained his doctorate in theology at Bethel International College in New Orleans. He is also a former High School Graphic Arts Teacher in the Louisiana County School District and the LA County School District.
