“Mary Ellen is the BEST! I had my dream Pnina Tornai gown that needed altering. It had specialty fabric and was extremely heavy since it was a large ball gown with a lot of underskirt and long train. She hemmed it perfectly and then made custom straps for me as well. The bustle looked flawless and let me dance around at the reception without a care in the world! Mary Ellen was just a dream to work with! Extremely knowledgeable and skilled!

Tanya was also great to work with! Quick with the responses and answers to my questions! Her sweet compliments always put a smile on my face! Would recommend Gilded Social Alterations to anyone!” ~

YES! We have had brides from dozens of states and 7 countries purchase their wedding dress from us - either online, over the phone, or in person. 📦

Purchasing one of our online sample sale dresses for a SUPER steal? 💻 We recommend asking for photos of the dress and getting professional measurements to be sure of your size before you purchase. We want you to be confident in your pick!

Are you obsessed with one of our regular collection gowns, and it’s just not available in your area? 🙋‍♀️ We can help! We’re happy to coordinate your order over the phone and ship it to you when it comes in.

OR are you visiting us from afar? Don’t think you’ll make it back to pick her up? No sweat! We will figure out the best way to get your dress to you or store it for you til you CAN come in! 👗

There is always some risk involved with shipping the most expensive garment you ever buy - so we recommend that you have it shipped to somewhere you can sign for the package. ✍️ We always send it insured! Try it on right away, too. We’ll even Facetime with you when you do so we can explain how it needs altered, just like we would during our regular Meet the Dress appointment. 📱

Tanya went above and beyond to find the matching veil to my discontinued designer bridal gown. After being rejected by multiple bridal salons throughout the US, we found Gilded Social/Tanya who was able to reach out to the designer and have the discontinued veil handmade for us. Behind the scenes, Tanya worked tirelessly to make alternate arrangements to have the veil made when the original shop it was being created in shut down due to COVID. She made sure everything was in order for us to get the veil in time for the wedding despite these unforeseen circumstances. She stayed in touch with us every step of the way to keep us informed on the progress. The veil arrived in perfect condition; it was gorgeous and better than we even imagined!! If you’ve ever celebrated in Disney World you might know that one of the coolest FREE souvenirs you can request are “celebration buttons.” 🥳
They’re special, personalized buttons that you wear around Disney to display what you’re celebrating so cast members and fellow guests can get in on your celebration! 🎉
You might hear Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary or Congratulations nearly 50 times a day! It’s like the whole resort is in on it. 🥹 I can honestly say it’s one of the reasons I love celebrating basically ANYthing in Disney more than anywhere else. 🙌🏻

“Crisis averted! My daughter was faced with a wedding day emergency. Due to state mandates and new COVID restrictions, two of her three bridesmaids dropped out on Wednesday. Luckily we were able to find replacements. Tanya Hartman from Gilded Social saved the day! Tanya brought several dresses in the style and color of the original dresses and a sewing machine. The new women were able to pick a dress they liked and Tanya hemmed them for us. She brought a portable steamer and she made sure all the dresses including the bride’s dress were pressed and beautiful. During the picture taking, Tanya also made sure that everyone’s hair was in place and clothing hung perfectly. Sometimes photographers look for faces not being in shadows and that everyone is visible but they don’t have time to worry about hair and clothing. At Gilded Social, our focus is on legendary service and memorable experiences we offer to each of our individual brides. Every has a story to tell, and we are here to be part of that. 🎉🎈

That means that our business isn’t based on volume, like many of our peers. Sadly, that also means that awards like these, which used to be locks when we sold bridesmaids dresses, now feel perennially out of reach. 😩 Less volume, fewer votes. To say it doesn’t hurt or I don’t care would be a lie. But it’s part of the gig when your business evolves, and I’ll take the quality over quantity business anyday. 🙋🏼‍♀️

“To any bride anywhere, you don’t need to look any further than Tanya and Gilded Social for the best service around! Once you have found them, you can end the search.

We are from Pittsburgh, PA, and Tanya is from Granville, OH. We had originally ordered my daughter’s wedding dress near home and when it came out of alterations, it was pretty much destroyed with no way of fixing it. And we only had 2 months until the wedding! It was my daughter’s dream dress, so of course I spent the next few days trying to track down the dress at another shop. Turns out the designer was from Spain and only 1 or 2 bridal salons per state seemed to carry that brand.

I started calling the states surrounding PA and when I contacted Tanya, she did not give me the normal response of “no, we don’t have that dress in stock.” She literally called her rep for the region and found one COMING IN ON A BOAT FROM SPAIN!! She ordered it for us right then and there and immediately had us come out to see it as soon as she received it. She had it set up on a form and had my daughter try it on. Seeing the look on my daughter’s face was priceless!

We decided to travel out to Ohio three times for all of the alterations that would be needed to change a size 10 into a size 4. Tanya continued to check on the progress throughout and truly cared about the whole process. “Impossible” was just a word that was not in Tanya’s vocabulary. We are FOREVER grateful for them and cannot recommend them highly enough. On a scale of 1-5, they get a 20!

Like a laser, knew exactly the dress she wanted.⚡️ The dress was classic, elegant, timeless - perfect for the American Club - BUT was priced just a bit above what Rachel wanted to spend. 💰

As luck would have it, we were getting ready to move on from that designer, so I offered Rachel a deal. If she still wanted to try her on, I would sell her the sample for inside her budget. It was in mint condition so this was a steal. 🙌🏻 See - it pays to be totally honest with your stylist about what you need to say YES! You just never know til you ask.

But then we realized that a smaller size would be a better fit. So I worked out a way to order the dress in her size and still get closer to her budget than the original retail price. ✅ We’re in the business of YES, so if it can be done - count on us to find a way! 🎉🎈

The skirt was large and in charge, so after alterations, we needed to gameplan how she’d get the dress to Wisconsin for the wedding. We talked through all her options, and she opted to purchase a seat for her dress to have ample space to fly there. 💺 So I packed her dress neatly to fit, giving her all the tips I’d learned over the years about traveling with a big ol’ gown, too, and she was off! ✈️ And my goodness if it wasn’t the most classic, elegant, and timeless weekend we’ve ever seen! Perfectly, perfectly Rachel. 💕
