This week’s ✨Staff Spotlight✨ is the formidable MICHAEL V!

Michael teaches just about everything - guitar, bass, drums, and even some keys! He is a fantastic instructor & show director, and has a wealth of knowledge about instrument repairs & songwriting, in addition to his proficiency on his instruments!

Michael is here most days of the week, so keep an eye out for him & say hi next time you see him!

We are still reliving our summer end of season show this past weekend. 🤩 It was our BEST show to date, and we already can’t wait to go back to the Grainery again!

Also, our Nirvana performance group (aka Montage of Heck) got the audience to mosh pit for the first time ever at a School of Rock Columbus show!!! Their band was on FIRE, they were on their A-game and brought SO much energy! We want to see more of that at the next show!

Do you have a middle or high schooler looking to learn a new instrument? We have the perfect program for them!

Our Opening Act program was created just for those students who are older than Rock 101, but are beginners in their chosen instruments! Our Opening Act groups help give older students confidence on their instruments and teach them musical foundations before they move up to performance.

These groups are SO fun, and we still have spaces available in our fall Opening Act groups. Give us a shout for more info!

It’s back to school…School of ROCK, that is!

If you’re looking for fall activities for your student, why not join the band and hit the stage at School of Rock Columbus? We offer performance-based, song-first music education programming for students starting as young as 3 years old, all the way through adulthood!

At School of Rock Columbus, we believe every student is a musician, no matter their experience. Students not only get one-on-one lesson instruction on their chosen instrument - they also get to join one of our age- and skill level-appropriate ROCK BANDS!

This means that our students receive a comprehensive music education. They learn technical skills and theory on their instruments through the songs they work on in lessons, while also gaining skills in collaboration, problem-solving, teamwork, and stage presence through their band rehearsals.

The best part? Our students get to show off their growing musical skills via live rock concerts! We book real music venues so our bands can hit the stage and share their hard work with their friends and family!
