There’s been a lot of chatter around Pantone’s Color of the Year, and as a self-proclaimed color queen, I too have a lot say about it!

I’ve been diving into the conversation on my stories, and I’ll be sharing more in my next post about how we can take a seemingly quiet shade, and evolve it into something fresh, and full of personality with a few intentional design choices.

Cloud dancer.

Pantone’s color of the year is more than what you see on the surface. It’s an invitation to build. It becomes a foundation for artistry, similar to this soft palette of butter yellows, punchy chartreuse greens, and delicate blush accents.

I loved building this palette with in the months leading up to her wedding. We wanted the designs to feel timeless with enough depth, and subtle contrast to let every piece truly stand out.

SB’s final flower bar of the season is here, and my heart’s already feeling a little sentimental.

If we haven’t met yet, hi. I’m Alex, owner, and designer behind Sweet Blossom Floral, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I believe love is the greatest gift we can give, and if we’re lucky, receive. I think being kind is cool, and that joy can be found even in the most ordinary moments. There’s always something worth celebrating, and I’m constantly looking for glimmers of beauty in my own life, and in the people around me. I deeply admire anyone who is unapologetically themselves, because really, why be anyone else when you’re already so wonderfuly, uniquely you?

Sweet Blossom began as a tiny seed of an idea, and has grown into a career that fills me with purpose, challenge, and an incredible sense of community. I’ve learned there’s beauty in trusting yourself, and leaning into the magic you see, even if you’re the only one who sees it. I design with that same mindset, always with the intention of creating work that reflects the people, places, and emotions it’s made for.

Entering October feeling deeply refreshed, grounded, and grateful.

This season has truly been our best yet, with eight more weddings to go, and each one continues to remind me why I love this work so much. I’ve learned, grown, and been inspired in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

I’m endlessly thankful for the clients who trust us, and for the incredible team that trusts the process with me. Sweet Blossom feels more alive than ever, not just with weddings, but with some truly special projects happening soon, too. We have something really incredible coming next week that I can’t wait to share.

October in Ohio is always busy, beautiful, and full of magic, and this one already feels extra special. Thanks for tagging along with me.

This weekend felt so full, like I was exactly where I was meant to be with the people I was meant to be with. I know I probably sound like a broken record, but for me, it’s the relationships, and conversations, that make me feel inspired and connected to my work. So many wonderful people stopped by the flower bar on Friday. It was glowing, and I’m so grateful for that love, and those unexpected, warm conversations.

I also loved Saturday’s weddings. They were so intentional, and I spent time outside, basking in the glorious warmth of the fading summer sun. A handful of you asked about my friend Sara’s wedding after she had to pivot to a new location. (How kind!) She was so graceful, and handled it beautifully. Her backyard ceremony was spectacular. It was intimate, full of love, and centered around everything that matters most: feeling authentic, feeling loved, and feeling supported. Her flowers were simply a vessel to echo that message.

I’m back at it today, moving at a slower, welcomed pace. I’ve admired nature, felt connected to my husband, my dog, my neighbors, enjoyed my coffee, and listened to jazz, my idea of a perfect morning. I’m excited to be in touch, but for now, I’m savoring this moment for myself.
