🎉 What makes an event successful?
It's often been said that the success of anything stems from good planning. So, if you're wondering what makes an event successful, then the best way to start is by making sure it is planned meticulously, comprehensively and accurately. And that means getting things moving well in advance if you can!

Here are just a few ways of how we go about planning an event:
1. Begin planning as soon as we possibly can
2. Always remain flexible and overcome obstacles with creative ideas
3. Negotiate & overly communicate
4. Assign responsibilities & delegate when Needed
5. Have a backup plans for the back up plans
6. Do a run through when possible to help accommodate all expectations

Impostor syndrome is a sense of self-doubt related to work accomplishments. You might feel like an impostor because you don’t think you deserve your job or accomplishments. If you’re personally struggling with impostor syndrome, there are a lot of actions you can take to reduce those feelings but here are 3 to get you started:

1. Focus on the Facts:
You can’t keep your brain from creating stories, but you can center yourself around the facts. The next time you’re in a situation that makes you feel like an impostor, refer back to the facts vs. stories of the situation.

2. Acknowledge, Validate, then Let Go:
Just because your interpretations of an event are stories (rather than fact) doesn’t mean your feelings are any less valid. Combatting impostor syndrome isn’t about ignoring your emotions. Rather, the best way to fight this feeling is to acknowledge that you’re feeling poorly, validate that it’s okay, and then let those feelings go if they aren’t based in reality.

3. Toot Your Own Horn:
Sometimes, the best way to fight impostor syndrome is to face it head on. The next time you feel like you did something well, celebrate it! If you’re comfortable, share your accomplishment with your team or on social media! 🎉

It’s easy to toast to good health and fortune, but how about we cheers to the unglamorous parts of life for once? I’ll go first: the late night phone calls and emails, countless rejections, and always needing to resort to Plan B or C because A didn't work as we hoped...

Pretty Organized Chaos was created out of a NEED. I saw a need for a stress-free plan for hardworking and driven entrepreneurs, so I filled the gap! I have a deep passion and 10+ years of experience in event planning.

This year I decided to officially add 'event planner services' under the ‘Pretty Organized Chaos’ umbrella. Planning an event is HARD WORK and let’s be honest the hostess spends most of the time stressing the F out and not truly enjoying a moment of it.
