I wanted to share some favorites from Jadin Hawkins & Christian Nutz session last year. This turned out to be such a great session. I remember driving out to the location with the wind blowing like crazy and seriously considering whether we should reschedule. But once we got there, we walked into a row of trees along the creek and, just like that, the wind died down.

It felt like there was chaos all around us, but when these two were together, everything seemed to slow down. There was just this calmness about them that made the whole session feel so easy.

Jadin & Christian, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your engagement session. I’m so glad we didn’t reschedule! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together!

Looking back at Tera Paczosa & Otto’s engagement photos, one thing is pretty obvious: cattle farming isn’t just what they do; it’s a big part of who they are.

And maybe that makes them pretty well prepared for marriage. Farming cattle takes patience, teamwork, a lot of hard work, and two people who are willing to show up every day and work toward the same thing. Marriage isn’t all that different.

Tera & Otto, I’m pretty sure you two have already learned how to work together, weather the unexpected, and keep moving forward. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter looks like for you two. And I’m honored that I get to be there tomorrow to capture the beginning of the legacy you’re building together.

Tomorrow's the day for Allie & Keaton!

Take a look back at a few favorites from their engagement session last year at Maskenthine Lake Recreation Area. On the drive there, it was dark and raining the entire way, and I kept wondering if we should reschedule. But just in time, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and we ended up with the perfect evening.

It looks like the sun has plans to show up for them again tomorrow. I can't wait to celebrate with these two!

Happy 1st Anniversary, Jesus & Jessica!

I have a lot of favorite weddings for many different reasons, and this one is right up there at the top. One of the things I absolutely loooovvveeee capturing through my camera is emotion. I love catching the groom looking at his bride when she doesn't know it, or the bride looking at her groom when he has no idea. Those little looks say so much without saying a word.

The connection between these two was so strong, and it made my job so easy. I never had to tell them to put their arms around each other, look at each other, or make each other laugh. It all came so naturally. They were completely themselves, and you could feel the chemistry between them all day long.

And let's talk about that dance floor! 🔥 It was on FIRE!

Their wedding party, family, and friends came dressed to the nines and ready to dance! Everyone was out there dancing all night, but the ladies... OMG. I still don't know how they did it in heels! Meanwhile, I was wearing flat shoes, wondering if my feet were going to survive another hour. 😂

One of my favorite reception photos is at the very end of their gallery. All of the ladies were dancing in a circle, hyping each other up, cheering each other on, and having their best time. It wasn't for the camera. It was just them being themselves, and I loved getting to capture it.

As Joe & Bailey prepare to say "I do" this Saturday, I couldn't help but look back at their engagement session last year at Memorial Park in Omaha. These two have a way of making the world around them disappear when they're together. The laughter, the quiet moments reading in the park, and the way they look at each other speak volumes about the love they share.
