Happy 4th of July from District Six! Today isn’t just any Independence Day for our country or our old schoolhouse. Did you know our venue was built in 1876? That means these very brick walls were raised the exact same year the United States was celebrating its 100th birthday.

For a century and a half, this space has been a cornerstone for the community to gather. We are so incredibly proud to preserve this little slice of Indiana history and provide a place where neighbors can still come together for life’s most meaningful intimate moments.

Whether you're watching the local fireworks, hosting a family cookout, or just enjoying a beautiful midsummer day, we hope your 4th is filled with joy, community, and a little appreciation for the past.

Welcome! If you're new here, we are Jonathan and Emily Heck...and yes we have our hands full. We purchased this old schoolhouse in 2022 with a dream of turning it into a space where our family, friends, and neighbors could gather. We look forward to welcoming you to District Six for your next event.
