🪑💐Benchwarming Wednesday is TODAY! 🎉

What started with a little local dust-up over an outdoor bench and some flowers has turned into a massive celebration of community spirit!

Thanks to our listening leadership, the City Council, Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, Inspections &Code (special shout-out to Trevor and Ryan for taking so much grace under fire!), the city is amending the ordinance to allow a bench right at the building line where space permits keeping walkways clear and accessibility wide open.(how the property lines were set in the 60s)

Because our incredible community stood shoulder-to-shoulder and had our backs through it all, we are celebrating Benchwarming Wednesday today, and everyone is invited!

🎁 Today's Specials & Festivities (11:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
* The $10 Community Special: One delicious meat with one side, bread, and a tea for just $10.
* Sweet Treats: Free brownies for as long as they last!
* Buffalo Rock Pepsi: On-site with awesome goodies and fun.
* Photo Ops: Custom balloon setups by Fancy That Balloon Company right by the famous bench outside and a special photo area inside!

As our way of saying thank you, all city council members, the mayor, city manager, city attorney, Ryan and Trevor in code enforcement and inspections can come in and have lunch on us today whenever you're able to make it in!

This Wednesday, we’re keeping that momentum going and celebrating our unity across the city.

CARGO may finally be ready to move some dirt ! ( Yes, this project has consumed me for 3 years now) IT'S HUGE NOW!!! In the millions and this little Chicken Lady certainly can't do it alone!

# # 🚚 Big News: Meet CHEF (Culinary Hospitality Entrepreneur Foundation)
I get asked all the time: **"What is CHEF?"** Well, it’s time to pull back the curtain on a project that is very near and dear to my heart.
I’ve always believed that everyone deserves the chance to be self-sufficient. But I also know that the barrier to entry in the food world—the cost of a truck, the build-out of a commissary kitchen, the licensing—is a mountain many can’t climb alone.

That’s why I am officially donating my food truck to this new non-profit!

# # # **What is CHEF?**
CHEF stands for the **Culinary Hospitality Entrepreneur Foundation**. Our mission is simple: To help aspiring entrepreneurs "break into" the food truck world by providing the tools they otherwise couldn't afford.

# # # **How will it work?**
We are still working through the legal "nitty-gritty" (non-profits are definitely a marathon, not a sprint!), but here is the vision:
* **The 6-Month Launchpad:** Every six months, we will transition the truck to a new entrepreneur.
* **Brand Building:** This is a chance for someone to test their concept, build a following, and see if their brand can really take off without the crushing overhead of a startup.
* **Who is it for?** We’re looking to support:
* **Culinary Students** fresh out of a program ready to cook.
* **Veterans** transitioning into civilian life with a passion for food.
* **Dreamers** who have the talent and the hustle but lack the funds for a truck and kitchen.
# # # **Where are we now?**
Our board is established and we are currently figuring out the best way to move forward to ensure this foundation is set up for long-term success. It’s taking a little time to get every detail right, but the **Your Food Truck** is coming!
I can’t wait to see the brands that will be born out of this foundation. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to hitting the road! 🍴✨
