The Columbia Farmers Market has brought meaningful change into my life. It inspired me to start cooking (something I had never really done beyond frying a couple of eggs or making spaghetti). That influence has only deepened, leading me to try growing and harvesting my own ingredients (and this, too, is something I had never done before).
This spring feels different. It’s filled with a sense of novelty and curiosity for a world I’m just beginning to explore. What began as a simple step toward being part of the market each Saturday has become something much bigger: a source of purpose, excitement, and a whole new world to discover and learn from.
This year, we won’t just be cooking empanadas and polvorosas, we’ll be growing them, too 🌱🌱🌱🪴

Hungry? Us too! Luckily, we have many hot food items for you to enjoy every Saturday morning. From breakfast burritos, to made-from-scratch biscuits, polvorosas, empanadas, samosas and authentic Korean cuisine, there's no reason to go hungry as you browse the market!

Our prepared food vendors are encouraged to source as many ingredients as possible right here from the market! Don't hesitate to ask them about how they source their menu items.

It has been exciting to see new progress on the Community Welcome Center each week at the market! In the coming weeks, the trusses for this new building will be delivered. To ensure they are not damaged during transport and installation, they will be placed as close as possible to the construction site in customer parking, as shown in yellow above. Due to this, these parking spots will be unavailable to customers on November 8th and 15th for market parking.

During this time, the EAST end of the pavilion will be temporarily open for customer parking, as shown above, in red. Other great parking options include West Middle School and the Aslin CPS Administration Building on the north side of the pavilion. https://columbiafarmersmarket.org/markets/parking/
