This FRIDAY March 25th marks 7 years of the war in Yemen, the forgotten war. While President Biden promised to end US support for the war, arms continue to flow to Saudi Arabia and the UAE as the violence in Yemen escalates. Millions of Yemenis face starvation and lack of medical care due to a Saudi blockade barring the transport offood, fuel and medicine, a situation the UN calls "the world's worst humanitarian disaster."

Our message to President Biden and our elected leaders: YEMEN: END THE WAR, END THE BLOCKADE! Join us for vigil at the SC Statehouse (Main & Gervais) on Friday March 25th from 5PM-6:30PM. Some signs provided. Media will be invited.

This SUNDAY... Protest Rally Against the Military Coup in Burma this Sunday April 11th 4PM-6PM at the SC Statehouse, 1100 Gervais St. Columbia, SC The purpose of the protest is to raise awareness of what is happening in Burma (Myanmar) and to gather more support. This effort is being led by the various ethnic groups from Burma who are living in the greater Columbia area. Most of the families resettled in Columbia still have family back in Burma who they have had little to no contact with since the coup occurred on February 1. This protest is one major way they can show their solidarity with those protesting in Burma. They are asking for us to show up in support of democracy and human rights in Burma.
