District Remix is owned and operated by Jason Wallace and Jacob Jensen, two of the most sought-after wedding DJs for more than 10 years in the Maryland and surrounding areas. We hand-select each of the DJs at District Remix to make sure they are a perfect fit for your event. Our DJs have performed at nearly every wedding venue in the DMV, in addition to many private and corporate events booked thr

oughout the year. We are very versatile and are used to playing to many different types of crowds and age ranges. We are experts at reading a dance floor and can always adjust the music format to the vibe you and your guests are enjoying. At District Remix, we don't specialize in one style of music, we specialize in YOUR style of music! We have a wide range of DJs that can accommodate your musical tastes no matter what the type. We feature an eclectic assortment of DJ talent and specialize in experienced Open Format DJs. Open Format means being able to play any and all formats of music. An Open Format DJ will play a selection of contemporary & classic songs from different genres and eras and blend them together in a cohesive way that sounds great and keeps the dancers on the dance floor. Our first priority is to make sure that all of the music is custom tailored to your tastes, because it is your special day and we want the mood we create to be perfect for you and your guests. We always make sure to include all of your must-play songs and avoid any of your do-not-play songs. The District Remix philosophy is simple: provide the best possible music on quality sound equipment to make sure you have the most memorable party of your life! Our music is mixed in a seamless fashion for the best dancing experience and our DJs provide no barriers on what they will play for you at your event. We act as background coordinators that will support your event vendors making sure the timeline is kept on track and the event moves smoothly. We only use the microphone to direct the timeline and make important announcements—otherwise we let the music do the talking! District Remix specializes in, but is not limited to, non-traditional, contemporary events & weddings providing real DJs to mix up all your favorite music. We mold your music selections according to your tastes and give you complete control over the selections for the evening.

He was mashing songs together all night and it was honestly like a concert experience. My brother requested a song live and he instantly did a transition into it and mashed it up with another song. That’s how I know he’s good. He also took care of the ceremony and cocktail hour and gave us great recommendations throughout the process. We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating with Emily and Matt this October at the gorgeous Tannery Barn in Taneytown, Maryland. Between the rustic charm of the venue, the glowing fall backdrop, and all the personal touches they brought to the day, everything felt warm, intentional, and beautifully them.
