🎉 A morning of gratitude, relationships, and new beginnings at Show Me Referrals Mid Missouri!

As we wrap up another BNI term, we want to celebrate and thank our Leadership Team for the time, energy, and dedication they’ve given our chapter. We’re incredibly grateful for their hard work and excited for the new adventures ahead!

One of the best parts of a new term is giving a new Leadership Team the opportunity to step up, bring fresh ideas, and make the chapter their own. We’re excited to see what’s next! 🙌

🤝 Janice kicked off our education by sharing about the core value of Building Relationships — a great reminder that strong referrals start with genuine connections, trust, and taking the time to truly know the people around us.

🌿 We also heard from Raven with Reclaim Chiropractic, who shared more about the nervous system and the different people their team serves — from pregnancy and postpartum care and babies and kids to everyday aches, wellness, athletes, and busy professionals.

And Raven made sure we had some fun while learning with a game of…

It was a great way to get everyone involved while learning more about chiropractic care, who can be a great referral for Reclaim, and some common misconceptions along the way!

Another great Tuesday with Show Me Referrals Mid Missouri! 🙌

Nathan kicked us off with a great reminder about the purpose and overview of BNI — that this isn’t just about passing referrals, it’s about intentionally building relationships, learning how our businesses connect, and becoming part of each other’s marketing teams. BNI’s model is built around consistent, proactive, reciprocal business relationships, and that was a great reminder of why showing up and getting to know one another matters.

Raven followed with our Core Value of Accountability, sharing what it means to her and the importance of following through on the commitments we make to ourselves and to one another. In a referral network, trust grows when people know they can count on you — not only to show up, but to do what you say you’re going to do.

And last but definitely not least, we heard from our featured presenter, Philip King with Ratliff Tree! 🌳 Philip walked us through just how much goes into complete tree care. Ratliff Tree offers everything from trimming, removals, stump grinding and storm cleanup to tree health care, pest and disease management, planting and land clearing. Their focus isn’t simply removing trees — it’s helping property owners determine the right solution and preserve healthy trees whenever possible.

Another great Tuesday morning with Show Me Referrals! 🙌

Philip kicked us off with BNI’s Core Value of Positive Attitude and shared some great reminders about surrounding yourself with people you genuinely enjoy being around. Business is better when you’re building relationships with people you know, like, and trust — and when you bring the kind of energy and attitude that others want to be around too!

Our featured speaker this morning was Orie Hemme with Hemme Construction & Remodeling! 🏡🔨

We got to learn more about the history behind Hemme Construction, including six generations of home building and remodeling experience, 26 years serving the Columbia area, and more than 1,000 homes and remodels throughout Mid-Missouri.

Another great Tuesday morning with Show Me Referrals! 🙌

We got to hear a launching speech from one of our newer members, Matthew Sause with Goldie’s Pest Control! 🐜🐞 Matthew gave us a great overview of his business, the services they provide, and some of the things homeowners and business owners should be watching for when it comes to pests—including bed bugs, termites, and more. We’re excited to have Matthew as part of the group and continue learning how we can best support and refer him!

Our featured speaker today was Novy Foland with Kia of Columbia—and he absolutely ROCKED his presentation! 🎸🚗 With rock music playing throughout, Novy kept everyone engaged while walking us through several Kia models, features, and options available for different lifestyles and needs.

Another great Tuesday morning with Show Me Referrals! 🙌

We kicked off our meeting with Novy Foland sharing on one of BNI’s Core Values, Lifelong Learning. Novy talked about how quickly things continue to evolve in business and in life, and the importance of continuing to learn, grow, and always find ways to “sharpen the saw.” Such a great reminder that there is always something new we can learn from one another! 📚

We also had the opportunity to do our Launching Speed for Wesam Sabri with CoreStack! 🚀 Wesam encouraged everyone to take some time to check out their website and connect with him for a no-pressure analysis to better understand what CoreStack does and how their services may be able to help your business. A great way for our members to learn more about Wesam, his expertise, and who makes a great referral for him!

Lastly, our featured presenter today was Mitchell Christine with Cornerstone Landscaping! 🌿 Mitchell shared the story behind Cornerstone Landscaping and how the business has grown since he first entered the industry in 2020. We also got a much better understanding of just how much they offer—from mowing, lawn treatments, spring maintenance, aeration and overseeding, and snow removal to larger projects like paver patios and landscape curbing.

One thing that really stood out was Mitchell’s focus on doing things the right way and taking the extra steps needed to create quality, long-lasting work. It was great getting a behind-the-scenes look at the process and craftsmanship that goes into their projects!

Another great Tuesday morning with Show Me Referrals! 🙌

We were also excited to officially swear in two new members to our chapter this week! 🎉 Please help us welcome Wesam Sabri, Web Developer, and Matthew Sause with Goldie’s Pest Control. We’re excited to have both of them joining our group, building relationships, and bringing even more great connections and expertise to our chapter!

We kicked things off with our Education Coordinator, Novy Foland, who shared some great reminders about creating a strong weekly sales pitch. Keep it memorable, keep it short, and keep it simple! Those weekly moments are such a great opportunity to help everyone in the room better understand who you are, what you do, and how they can refer business your way.

Mitchell also shared about one of BNI’s core values, Building Relationships, and why it is so important to our chapter. At the end of the day, referrals start with trust, connection, and genuinely getting to know the people around us!

Lastly, we got to hear from our featured speaker, Nathan, who holds our Nonprofit/Funding classification with Athletes in Action. Athletes in Action is a Christian ministry focused on helping athletes and coaches grow in their faith and use the platform of sports to make an impact in the lives of others.

Nathan brings so much passion, leadership, and a genuine willingness to help those around him. He makes such a positive impact on our group, and we are truly grateful to have him as part of Show Me Referrals!

Another great Show Me Referrals meeting this week! 🙌

We were excited to kick off the day with Nathan Buxman sharing on one of BNI’s core values: Givers Gain.

Nathan gave some great examples of what it looks like to truly live out that value—supporting fellow members, looking for opportunities to help others succeed, and giving without expecting something in return. It was a great reminder of why Givers Gain is such an important part of the culture we’re building together.

Our featured speaker, Nathan Smith with Cintas, also did a fantastic job! Nathan made his presentation fun and interactive with a game that got the whole room involved, while also helping us better understand just how many different types of businesses Cintas serves.

From restaurants and bars, schools and daycares, hospitals and clinics, event centers, nonprofits and churches, to industrial and automotive businesses, Nathan showed us that Cintas can help just about anywhere—his presentation summed it up perfectly: “If they have a door and a floor.” - "If you see Red Flags, see a white truck"
