Early mornings at Elmer’s Gardens…

Before most people are awake, the trucks are rolling in….

Today’s first delivery brought fresh vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and some exciting new arrivals we’ve been waiting weeks to see.

Even the dogs looked exhausted waiting for the truck to unload. 😴🐾

And while checking the greenhouses this morning, we found a beautiful Luna Moth resting among the plants — a reminder that nature always has a surprise waiting.

👀 But the biggest surprise?

Something that glows has arrived…

Today we’re celebrating my nephew, Cameron Morris!!

Many of you have watched Cam grow up right alongside the rest of the pack at our family businesses. Whether he was carrying mums around the greenhouse as a little boy, helping unload trucks at Elmer’s, or working alongside his dad, Ab, at Elmer’s Country Store, he’s spent a lot of his life right here with us…

Looking through these photos reminds me just how fast the years go.

The truth is, these stores have helped build all of our kids.

They learned that when a truck shows up, you unload it. When customers need help, you help. When family or community needs you, you show up. Early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays—it didn’t matter. That’s just what we do.

Our kids learned the value of hard work, responsibility, giving their time, and being part of something bigger than themselves. They learned that success isn’t handed to you—it is earned one day at a time.

From hauling mums as a youngster to unloading plant trucks, running the front end for his dad and now walking across the graduation stage, it has been a privilege to watch Cam’s journey.

Cam, we are incredibly proud of the young man you’ve become. Your work ethic, your kindness, and your willingness to jump in whenever needed have never gone unnoticed. Whatever path you choose next, those qualities will take you far.

Today is your day, and you’ve earned every bit of it.

Keep praying, keep moving and trust Gods plan.. your best chapters are still ahead!

HOW BIG IS TOO BIG FOR A HANGING BASKET?
