I love looking back at my FB Memories as a post or two always have the capability to remind me of good times I've had in previous years. This event was no different.
This week, two years ago, I had the joy of executing a milestone birthday party for Mrs. Goldsmith. Her daughter, a frequent client--as well as an awesome friend of mine--secured me to be the planner for this super cute and super fun soiree. And let me just say, we brought the house down! I will always be thankful for the trust my client put in me to make her mother's milestone birthday party the best shindig ever. From venue & vendor sourcing, to invite creation, to event ex*****on, I had SO much fun putting this together for them. That night, we certainly partied like it was 1999 and it was definitely one for the books!

Now that Spring has sprung, I'm looking forward to Spring weddings and events!

Here in the South, Spring is the optimal season to host outside events. If you can time your event day just right, you'll have a temperate day with minimal pollen and a low chance of rain. Add in a pastel color pallette for decor, fresh floral arrangements (either in a bouquet or as a centerpiece), and a seasonally themed cocktail offering and you have the recipie for a great time with friends!

This is the last day for the ! There have been no eligible winners for the past 3 days, so I'm hoping today will be different!

To recap the answers for the Day 1-3 were:
Day 1--Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada
Day 2--Shipwreck Museum, Key West, Florida
Day 3--Portland Head Light, Cape Elizabeth, Maine

So, for Day 4, this photo is geared towards those who love contemporary hip-hop. I'm even going to up the ante a little bit. Awww! There were no winners for the Day 2 . The building was the Key West Shipwreck Museum located in Key West, FL. Here's a fun fact about the southernmost point in the US--the island is only 5 miles long and 1 mile wide. And it's probably the most laid back place I've ever been to.

Unfortunately, there were no winners for yesterday's . The picture was of the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada. My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting it in June 2019 for our trip. It was an extremely relaxing trip and I strongly encourage you to visit there if you ever have the chance.

For day 2 of the , I've attached a picture to this post. Give it a guess! Remember, to have the correct answer, you have to guess the correct city & state that this building is in. I hope to have a winner today!

I'm sure you all have seen the "Landscape Challenge" on FB that started this week. If you haven't, it's the challenge where a person posts a picture of a landscape without telling the place so that the viewer can virtually travel around the world in lieu of the COVID-19 travel bans.

Well, to have a little fun 😉, I've decided to introduce the "Landscape Challenge" to Purple Crane Events as well as add an incentive.

For the next 4 days (today-Friday), I am going to post a landscape picture. For the person / couple who is able to guess the correct locale (city & state or city & country), they will receive 10% off of my Wedding Management or Wedding Planning packages for a 2021 Saturday wedding date. There can only be one winner per day and it will be the person / group who guesses the correct location first. Good luck to you all!

Undoubtedly, the novel coronavirus has turned all of our lives upside down. From restrictions on public gatherings to travel bans, to modified operating hours for grocery stores, everyone's day to day activities have all changed from what we've been used to.

For the wedding and event industry the effect is the same. Vendors and clients alike have multiple questions on their minds--primarily, "What's next?"

While I get asked many questions by my clients--both current and prospective--the primary question I get is "Can we still have our event?" The answer is YES!

It is my job to make sure that your wedding, engagement, elopement, retirement celebration or milestone birthday party happens just the way you want it to--come what may. And I pride myself in doing just that. I may have some creative ways to make it happen, but I WILL make it happen.

Neither pandemic nor pollen were going to keep me from seeing this beauty in all of her glory Saturday. This picture can be summed up in one word--stunning!
