Greetings Dance Family! CED is pleased to welcome Ms. Courtney Heberlie, aka TOPKNØT, to guide our springtime dance journey this Saturday evening. Her victorious and resonant style is sure to set the season off proper.

Courtney Heberlie, performing as TOPKNØT, curates immersive, movement-driven DJ sets guided by intention, emotional arc, and somatic listening. Her Ecstatic Dance journeys support a wide range of emotional expression as she moves fluidly between grounded, breath-led exploration and expansive, high-energy release.

Inspired by melodic bass music, layered synths, organic textures, and movement-driven rhythms, TOPKNØT crafts sets that unfold as a narrative, giving dancers space to explore emotion through movement with the community around them.

With a healthcare background and respect for how each person moves, feels, and listens, TOPKNØT approaches Ecstatic Dance as a practice supporting nervous system regulation, creative expression, and community connection. Her intention is to offer a safe, inviting environment for deep listening and honest expression.

Courtney has been working hard to spin magic to enhance the dance expression, at this potent, bubbling moment in our collective timeline. Together, we move the changes we wish to see. Let’s BRING IT Columbia! See you on the floor. 🙌💛✨

I met about five years ago, and he’s been one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Always greeting me with a massive hug, always helping, and always looking out for everyone around him. He’s one of those people who just makes things better by being there.

Right now, he’s caught up in something that doesn’t reflect who he is or the life he’s built here in Columbia. He’s done so much for this community, and he deserves to be home with his family.
