We love giving our couples the option to start up a fire for the party to enjoy! S'mores, tunes, vibes, connection, the perks are endless.
Not wanting the smoke or there is a red flag warning? Easy peasy, start up a propane fire pit 🔥

✨ What a Night to Remember! ✨
Back in September, our Country Barn Dance was one for the books! From the toe-tapping tunes by .mobile.music94 to the mouthwatering BBQ served up by , the night was filled with laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories. 💃🕺
We kicked up our boots, learned a few new moves, and shared so many smiles under the barn lights. 🌾🎶

This past week, we had the privilege of celebrating Red Barn Farms’ very own Kay Meyer, who was nominated by student-athlete Anthony Palano, #0 on WSU Defense, for the impact she’s made as a Professor in the Carson College of Business.
Her passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom walls, empowering students to find confidence in their abilities and purpose in their future. 📚

Kay was grateful for the experience, meeting the coaches and staff, touring the athletic facilities, attending practice, receiving her award in front of the team AND just by chance sitting next to Anthony’s parents at the game. Truly a memorable experience! ✨

🌸 Centerpieces That Tell Your Love Story 🌸

Your centerpieces do more than just decorate, they set the mood, reflect your style, and tie your entire wedding theme together. Whether you're dreaming of romantic florals, rustic charm, or sleek modern elegance, the right centerpiece can elevate your reception space instantly. ✨
Here are 5 Tips to help you choose or create the perfect centerpieces:
💡 1. Match Your Theme & Venue
Your centerpiece should complement your overall wedding vibe. A beach wedding might call for shells and driftwood, while a ballroom might shine with crystal and roses.
🌿 2. Consider Table Shape & Size
Round tables look great with fuller, central pieces. Long banquet tables? Try a runner with multiple smaller arrangements.
🕯️ 3. Play With Height & Texture
Mix tall and low elements for visual interest. Combine florals, candles, lanterns, or even books for a layered look.
🎨 4. Stick to a Color Palette
Choose colors that tie in with your bridal party, florals, or seasonal tones. Monochrome can be elegant; bold contrasts can be playful!
💰 5. Budget Wisely
DIY options can save money and add personal charm, think handpicked flowers, thrifted vases, or handmade table numbers.
💬 We’d Love to Hear From You!
Already married or planning your big day? Share your centerpiece ideas or photos in the comments!
What worked? What surprised you? What would you do differently?
Let’s inspire each other with creativity and love. 💖

Tree Trimming Tips 🌳

One of my favorite landscaping jobs at Red Barn Farms is trimming trees. I grew up helping care for my beutful family farm and a gardens. My mom is a Master Gardener and she designed a Japanese garden with Koi pond, paths, bonsai evergreens and many shrubs and perennials. One of my summer jobs growing up was caring for our gardens. It’s where I got an appreciation for the beauty, mindfulness, hard work and satisfaction of gardening.

Here are a few tips I learned from my Mom that I follow today and I ’m passing on to you….

🪾In general cut any limb that is crossing over another and any branch growing from the bottom of the limb. This will allow your tree branches to grow unobstructed and create a full canopy.

🪾Cut branches where they start to grow from the larger branch.

🪾Cut all the dead branches out and then try to make the remaining healthy branch’s as symmetrical as possible. The tree will regrow and fill in the open space over time.

🪾As far as timing, I try to winter prune because you get an easy view of the tree’s skeleton and which branches need to go. But I have more time in the summer and it doesn’t hurt or stun the trees growth.

Here’s a 🌳 trivia question for you all?

How many total trees are on Red Barn Farms, including those surrounding the house? 🌲🌳

Bonus question: How many were here before we started the transformation into an event facility with our park-like grounds?

Put your guess in the comments and we will announce the winner once we get the correct answers!
