Join me, DJ SnoKat, for another unforgettable Goth Night at La Burla Bee on Thursday, May 21st. Step into a world of dark elegance, haunting melodies, and midnight revelry as we celebrate the music, fashion, and community that make the gothic scene thrive.

I'll be setting the mood with darkwave, post-punk, and goth classics throughout the evening leading up to the Shadow Work Show at 10 PM. After the show, we'll turn up the energy with industrial, EBM, aggrotech, and hard electronic beats, so make sure you stick around and dance into the early hours.

When the sun goes down, we head underground.

Tonight, Frisky's Speakeasy opens its doors beneath Triple Nickel Tavern for a night dedicated to dark music and darker atmospheres.

DJ Snokat starts the night with darkwave, post-punk, and goth classics, building the mood before turning up the intensity with industrial, EBM, and aggrotech later in the evening.

Nikita will be behind the bar. The dance floor will be waiting.

A sincere thank you to everyone who came out to REPENT at Milk last night.

The dance floor was alive from start to finish, and that's because of all of you who showed up, dressed up, danced, connected, and helped create the atmosphere that makes nights like this special.

It was an honor to share the night with niq V, Rayne Ari Coull, and an incredible crew of performers, artists, and organizers who brought so much energy and creativity to the event. The A24 tribute was a perfect reminder of how powerful, strange, and beautiful storytelling can be when people come together around it.

Thank you to Milk Denver for hosting us and to everyone who spent part of their night with us.

I'll be joining my brother niq V behind the decks for a night of dark rhythms, catharsis, and controlled chaos. Rayne returns to the stage alongside an amazing crew of performers, bringing the energy that makes this night what it is.

We're also celebrating some of the most iconic moments from the world of A24...films that challenged expectations, stayed with us long after the credits rolled, and reminded us why we love strange, beautiful storytelling.

As DJ SnoKat, I want to be transparent about something important: creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment matters deeply to me, both at Frisky’s and at Night Republic Goth Nights here in the Springs (and at any other event I'm part of).

A number of people have recently reached out regarding artists connected to allegations involving abuse, anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric, extremist politics, grooming, sexual misconduct, or other harmful behavior. I appreciate the conversations and the trust people place in me when bringing these concerns forward.

For clarity:
• I already avoid many of these artists in my rotations.
• I actively try to stay informed.
• When people ask respectfully, I’m always open to discussing why certain artists may or may not be included in playlists.

The goth and industrial scenes have always been built around outsiders finding community. That only works if we continue to listen to each other, learn, and hold space for respectful dialogue.

Someone asked me recently how I got started in the goth community, and honestly…it caused a bit of reflection.

I started out as an angry metal and industrial kid in school. Total loner type. Which, given the late 90s / early 2000s era and everything happening in the news back then, definitely caused a few issues socially. Later on I figured out I could add “neurospicy” to the mix too haha... though back then we didn’t really have the accepted labels or language for any of that. Im super happy that has come a long way. :)

I enlisted in the military in 2004, and eventually needed an outlet for anxiety, stress, and just…surviving. That’s when I found The Mercury at Machinewerks in Seattle. Huge shout out to Hana Solo and JQ for helping shape that chapter of my life.

That place pulled me hard into the growing early-2000s rivethead and cybergoth scene. I became a massive dancefloor regular, and that era of music still lives deep in my heart. I still actively hunt for bands from that time period that haven’t become problematic in our current timeline...which gets more heartbreaking every year, honestly. These folks need do better!

From there I moved to Dallas and stayed heavily involved in the dancefloor community to keep myself sane. Big love to Joe Virus, Byron, and Son of Sam for being part of that era. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I met my future partner Rayne on the dancefloor too.
