That big Order 5 days ago pre my post about tipping. These were full pans of fried rice, Korean chicken , Kalua pork, 60 lumpia’s, 25 musubis, one Chantilly Mac Nut Cake, Butter Mochi and 40 pieces of Chi Chi Dango.
The person reached out to me after reading my post and apologized and wanted to send the right tip but when I responded back thanking them for acknowledging the error , found that my messages couldn’t go thru! I even texted them my response with my Venmo and apple pay info and havent received what they said they would send.
Sad but unfortunately it happens In business and we learn and move forth from it.

Will not accept any future orders from that particular customer. Lesson Learned.

Aloha Ono Kine grindz Ohana.

First and foremost a big Mahalo to my loyal and supportive customers and your amazing pu’uwai. It is because of you that I continue to provide Ono grindz and keep this business going.

It breaks my heart when customers don’t realize the amount of work and love that goes into my catering orders. I even show my love and appreciation by giving a new customer discount to all new customers, loyal customer discount to returning and loyal customers and Military discount to all our active military and veterans. I do this because I appreciate people choosing our small business for their special occasions. With that being said it really breaks my heart when my hard work and hours poured into a catering order is not recognized. Tipping from a customer in my line of business being that I am a one stop shop doing the cooking, serving delivering etc, means more than you know. Standing for over 8 hrs baking, cooking, prepping, packaging and then delivering an order over $600(with a $50 discount given off that sale) to only be tipped $20 cash feels like a big punch in the face.
Being that the cost of groceries have exponentially increased but I have KEPT my menu prices the same because I love my customers provides me not a lot of profit so that tip is important.

Unfortunately, due to the amount of non tipping customers of very large orders, effective June 2025 my prices will increase to stay in line with the increase of the cost of groceries , eggs, and expenses it cost to run a catering business.

I hate that I have to do this but the loyal customers, customers who appreciate my business and those who understand what it takes to run a business will understand and they are the type of customers I will serve with the biggest heart and my 1000% best.

Aloha thank you for reaching out! Our prices are based on what type of services you are looking for. We can do Ala Carte Items at a fixed cost or we offer full catering service which includes 4 dishes and 1 dessert , utensils and paper products and napkins, 2 hrs of set up, serve and clean up for $12 per head. If you are interested in the Catering service then there is a contract process that we will need to finalize for services.
