I met the Garcias about 9 months ago. They are the sweetest couple. They open up their farm to the students of and Colten spends part of his ABA therapy there. It’s amazing and he loves helping Ms. Debra with chores.

They have offered me a spot on the property to try my hand at growing flowers. I’m so grateful. They have an amazing vision for the farm and I’m so excited to help them.

Oh Valentine’s Day 💕

So.many.roses!

I owned a retail flower shop for many years and a dozen roses were my least favorite to offer. There is so much demand in February that they are not the quality you usually receive and are not worth the premium price.

From an environmental and health point of view, roses are heavily sprayed with pesticides-not good for the earth or your health. And, they travel a long way leaving a large carbon footprint.

What I WOULD give on Valentine’s Day:
all the spring flowers: tulips, viburnum, sweet peas, hyacinth, ranunculus, anemone, blooming branches (if available in your area) and allium.

You will get more for your money, give something beautiful and unique, and the recipient will enjoy it longer than the roses.

I love hosting workshops. This year I had one Thanksgiving workshop and three wreath workshops. I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who showed up, created something beautiful, and shared that time with me.

Teaching this art brings me so much joy, but seeing your excitement and pride in what you made is the very best part!

Thank you for another wonderful year. I’m constantly amazed by the people I get to meet through this work, and so many of you have become dear friends.

Wreath Workshop (private residence)

Did you know you could host a wreath workshop in your home? It’s a fun way to bring your friends and family together. You provide the food and drinks, and I will bring everything we need to make wreaths!

I loved being invited to share wreath making with a special group of moms. My friend Deanna is the founder of , an organization that supports families affected by neuromuscular disabilities. One of the ways Helix45 offers support is through monthly Mom’s Comfort & Connect gatherings. I knew many of these ladies from my other special needs mom support group .cosprings

It was a beautiful night of fabulous food, friendship, lots of laughs and gorgeous wreaths.
