Why this show?

✨ Because sometimes the stories we've been given aren't enough.

✨ Because sometimes you have to question the rules.

✨ Because sometimes the person waiting to rescue you…is you.

✨ And because sometimes theater can be strange, funny, beautiful, unsettling, and completely unexpected—all at the same time.

Have we mentioned that this is the first fully-staged production of "small enchantments"? Our cast and creative team have spent weeks exploring this unusual world, only ever seen before in virtual productions, and we're almost ready to invite you into it.

🪄 This is not the fairy tale you think you know.

There is a palace.

There is a ball.

There are princesses.

There is a forest.

But there is also a dying mother, a mysterious father, a moody river, a world in trouble…and twelve young women who are beginning to question everything they've been told.

small enchantments is part fairy tale, part dark comedy, part dream — and entirely its own strange little world.

What happens when the princesses stop waiting to be rescued?

Come see for yourself.

Join us Saturday, October 3, immediately following the performance for a conversation and audience Q&A with playwright Lila Rose Kaplan!

Ever wondered where the idea for twelve princesses came from?
Why a dying tree?
What inspired this strange and magical world?
Or what the play is really asking us to consider?

Now's your chance to hear directly from the playwright herself.

See the show. Stay for the conversation. Ask your questions.

✨ There's a lot more to making magic than you might think.

Before the lights come up and the audience enters the world of small enchantments, there's rehearsal.

There's experimentation.
There's movement.
There's laughter.
There's figuring things out.
There's trying something completely different.
There's making discoveries together.

And then there's doing it all again.

We're just a few days away from opening, and this cast and creative team are bringing Lila Rose Kaplan's strange, funny, beautiful fairy tale to life.

Here's a little glimpse behind the scenes. 👀
