Wanda Crawford
President, CEO

Wanda Crawford plans, coordinates, and produces weddings, social occasions, and non-profit fundraisers as well as corporate events. Her clients have included the US Naval Academy, Washington Redskins, National Institutes of Health, Churches, and brides from Washington DC and throughout the region. Wanda has produced such events as H.O.P.E. Inaugural Youth Ball 2009 and 2013 held at the historic Howard Theater in downtown Washington, D.C., and Hoops for Homeless Youth All Star Game. She is a highly respected events producer and décor designer, known as the “Logistics Master”.

Wanda is the President, CEO of Out of the Box Design, Inc. (O.O.T.B. Design) where she brings over 20 years of experience in the industry. Wanda earned her experience from on the job training. She has attended Corcoran School of the Arts where she studied graphics design, and the American College for the Applied Arts, where she studied décor design,

She supports and participates in several charitable organizations such as Code Blue; reviving a generation an organization that raises awareness and monies for teen homelessness in America and U.R. Beautiful, a teen girls mentoring program.

Wanda is recognized for her ability to seamlessly create unique events. Her talent compliments the partners at Out of Box Design, Inc. and together they bring unparalleled service, experience and dedication to their work with brides, families and businesses. O.O.T.B. Design is known for building a positive team with their clients and vendors and executing their client’s vision with sheer joy in a way that seems absolutely effortless. One of Wanda’s most memorable events was a seven day destination wedding in St. Kitts the West Indies. The wedding included a surprised charted air flights to St. Bart’s, French West Indies, for bridal party and guest, a beachside wedding, and the extravagant affair ended with a night of fireworks.

Wanda is married with two children and one grandson. In her free time she enjoys working with young girls in her church; encouraging them to be the best them.

Michelle Craft
V.P. of Events Management and Co-Owner

Michelle loves pouring her passion for making “All things Personal” into creating events, decorating concepts, customized gifts, and invitations for any occasion. Her goal is to make sure whatever the project; it embodies “your” personal style. Her philosophy is “Keep It Simple and ALWAYS Make It Personal”.

Michelle is V.P. of Events Management and Co-Owner of Out of the Box Design, Inc. (O.O.T.B. Design). Michelle exudes creativity and radiates positive energy…always. With her talent, charm,gift for gab winning and smile, she easily develops solid relationships with her clients, colleagues and vendors. This ability allows her to relate to her client’s needs, and have a greater understanding of their vision, goals, and objectives for their project. “The client/planner relationship is paramount to a great project.”

Often accused of thinking outside the box, Michelle’s twenty-plus years of hands on experience allows her to take her client’s vision and bring it to life; by offering ideas to help nurture and grow that idea is fun to watch. Michelle’s level of creativity is amazing!

Researching and finding that “perfect and unique” item that will make any project “yours” is what drives her. Michelle directs her passion into everything she does from event logistics to event design. She is obsessed with details and believes that the details are what set apart ordinary events from extraordinary, one-of-a-kind events.

Pairing her twenty-plus years of hands on experience with her O.O.T.B. Design partners, it’s clear to see that this team is used to thinking out of the box on purpose… with purpose!

One of Michelle’s most memorable moments is seeing her concept of an Inaugural Ball for families come to fruition in 2009. H.O.P.E. (Honoring Our President Elect) Inaugural Youth Ball was birthed out of her personal desire to celebrate President Obama’s election with her two sons and husband. The concept quickly grew from including family and friends to an event that was host to over 600 guests that traveled from four countries, and twenty-six states.

Guests included Dave Chappelle, his children as well as the children of Stevie Wonder. Monies from these events went towards bringing awareness to teenage homelessness. This event was so great; it had to be repeated four years later.

It’s true that this event exceeded Michelle’s high expectations and she too looks forward to exceeding yours with Integrity, Vision and Passion.

Michelle’s favorite time of the year is Christmas; the warmth of home; love of family and friends; the festive colors and lights and the niceness of strangers. Her favorite gifts are her husband and her two boys.

Brenda B. Hamilton
Vice President of Hospitality and Business Affairs

Attended college in Atlanta Georgia where she received her Associates degree in Merchandising. After receiving her degree she moved back to Washington, D.C,
and worked at the Hyatt Regency where she found her true passion in the Hospitality field working under Chef Richard Faeh, Regional Executive Chef as his Administrative Assistant.

For over ten years, Brenda has managed restaurants, concession stations for the Washington Redskins, Conferences, Workshops, Destination weddings, and Youth Galas. As a humanitarian she works with Sasha Bruce Youth Work homeless shelters raising awareness and funds for teenage homeless. Currently Brenda is the Vice President of Hospitality and Business Affairs with Out of the Box Design, Inc. In 2013 Brenda will launch “The Food Critic” where she will keep you updated on current trends in the Food and Hospitality Industry. Presently she is taking
Entrepreneurial Classes to further her education on being a successful business owner. Brenda resides in Prince Georges County, Maryland with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
