I have been reluctant to post this because it makes it even more real, but the time has come to officially announce.
After almost 10 years, we have decided to close the doors of PKB and this beautiful chapter of our lives.
This has been the most bittersweet decision for us and one that we didn’t make overnight. While this decision is very hard, it is also filled with gratitude.
PKB has meant so much to our community, but it has also meant so much to me personally. It became so much more than a business. It became a place where some of the most special moments of my own life happened.
I had the incredible gift of working alongside my mom to create beautiful weddings and events for so many amazing people. We poured our hearts into this place together, and I will forever be grateful for those years working side by side.
I got to marry my husband here. I watched some of my best friends and family members get married here. I watched families grow (my own too), celebrated new babies and birthdays, danced the night away, hosted community events, and witnessed countless moments that were filled with so much love, laughter, happy tears and joy.
There have been so many magical moments within these walls, and it is hard to put into words what it means to know that we will no longer get to create those moments here.
When I look back, I don’t see a business that is closing. I see 10 years of memories. I see my mom & husband working so hard beside me. I see my babies getting to come to work with me and thinking I have the coolest job. I see families gathering, people dancing, laughing and making memories that they will carry with them forever. And I see just how incredibly lucky we have been.
Thank you to every couple who trusted us with one of the biggest days of their lives. Thank you to every family, friend, vendor, community member and person who walked through our doors. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your biggest moments.
PKB may be closing its doors, but the memories made here will always be a part of us.
