Last year I had the opportunity to start learning and practicing yoga. What started as a way to improve how I physically felt quickly became so much more. The only other medium to capture my interest has always been photography. And I love what I do, I love capturing your families and events and everything in-between. Yoga gave me space to re-explore who I am beyond all of my "titles" and ways I serve others. Yoga challenges the body, but it also challenges the mind in ways that everyday life does not. It is a constant reminder that strength and softness can exist together. That movement can lead us to stillness, and stillness can lead us back to ourselves. When I was approached to participate in this year's Art After Hours I knew this was my opportunity to share a small piece of what Yoga has given me. "Self discovery in motion" became a reflection of this season of my life and the inspiration for this project. Please stop by Culy's tonight if you'd like to see the project in person!
