Meet your Future Self - A lot of people don’t know this…
When I painted the poster for the Blindfold Drive Across America, I finished it about a year and a half before we ever did the actual drive. 🎨🚗

Why?
Because Eric and I used it as a vision board — a way to travel forward in time and meet our future selves. 🕰️👀

That painting helped us SEE the bigger version of who we were trying to become.
And once we could see it… it became real. We began to move toward it.

Momentum followed. 🔥

If you’ve never used a vision board or tried to describe the future version of you — I really encourage you to try it.

You don’t need to be an artist. Stick figures will do. 🖍️
Or write a letter to your future self. 💌
Or do it the classic way: grab a photo and cut out images or words from magazines that represent the life you want to live. ✂️🗞️📌

You can create a vision board for anything:

The Boy Who Was Afraid Part 3 - After a few years of performing Magic professionally, I hit a wall.

I wanted to do something bigger—something more meaningful.

So I teamed up with a teacher and mentor. We both had a heart for kids from tough backgrounds, especially those in foster care.

We brainstormed for months. Dug through hundreds of old Magic books.
That’s when we came across a forgotten stunt: the Blindfold Drive.

Old-school Mentalists used to drive around town blindfolded to generate buzz for their shows.

We thought… what if we went even BIGGER?

What if we drove across America blindfolded—in 7 days—to raise national awareness for foster youth?

Insane, right?
We trained for years.
We practiced in a convertible with coins taped over our eyes, gauze wrapped around our heads, blindfolds on.

We were all in.

Until…

🚫 States started denying us permits
🚓 Highway patrols warned we’d be arrested on sight
📺 Oprah’s team passed (too risky)
🏀 A very famous NBA player—our sponsor—backed out:

“Marco… this is insane. You’re gonna get yourself killed.”

For a moment, I froze.

Fear started creeping in:

“What if they’re right?”
“Maybe I can’t do this.”
“Maybe I should just keep it safe…”

But then I asked a different question:
“What if I quit before I even tried?”

That would haunt me forever.

So we kept going.
Nevada, Utah, and Colorado said no.
But Arizona, New Mexico & Texas said YES.

And we went for it.

📍 We drove from L.A. to NYC blindfolded in 7 days—before GPS, before self-driving cars.
🗞️ FOX, CNN, CBS filmed from the back seat.
🧭 We made Magical history.

Looking back, I’ll never forget:

The Magic never happens inside your comfort zone.
It happens right on the edge of fear and the unknown.

💭 Most people have a “Blindfold Drive” of their own.
A dream. A decision. A leap.

Fear shrinks us.
Courage expands us.

Whatever your “leap” is…

The Boy Who Was Afraid Pt. 2 - After graduating Art school, I had no idea how to make money doing what I loved.
I was broke 💸, living on my own in Austin, TX, performing Magic at bars for tips — literally passing the hat after every show 🧢✨. That’s how I paid rent and bills.

One night at an Irish pub 🍀, I was performing for a group of about 15 people. Business attire. Watching closely 🃏.

Then BOOM 💥 — the trick hit, and the place exploded with laughter and screams. The kind of reaction every Magician dreams of 🙌.

As I put my cards away, a man in a suit approached me. He looked serious. Important 👔.

He said:
“Hey kid, I want to hire you to do that at my company. How much do you charge?”

😳 I froze.

No one had ever asked me that.
Art school never taught me how to price creative work 🎨❌💵.

I mumbled:
“Well… I don’t really talk business in public. Why don’t you give me your card and I’ll call you tomorrow?”

He shook his head:
“No, I want to book you now. How much?”

Then he added:
“I’m the third richest man in Austin. By next year, I’ll be the richest man in Texas. So how much?” 😬

I panicked.
And blurted:
“$175 an hour.”

He yelled:
“$175?! That’s more than I pay my lawyer!” 😱

I wanted to disappear.
Every insecurity hit me at once:
“You’re not worth that kind of money Marco. What were you thinking? Idiot.”

But then… he said:
“Alright, you’re hired. Come next Friday. If my employees don’t go crazy — I’ll never hire you again.”

✨And just like that… I booked my first real Magic gig.

Looking back, it wasn’t about the $175.
It was about stepping into a bigger version of myself 💪 — one that believed I had value.

It was uncomfortable. Scary.
But that’s where the growth was waiting 🌱.

Some people stay stuck in a smaller version of who they are — afraid to step up, speak up, or level up 🚫⬆️.

But if you want a bigger life… it takes bigger courage 🦁.

The Magician Who Almost Wasn’t

I started doing magic when I was 8 🎩✨
In the beginning, I struggled—a lot.

At school, I’d try to show other kids my tricks 🎭
But when I messed up… they laughed.
Some even ran off to expose the secret 🤐

By the end of the day, it felt like everyone knew.
Next time I tried a trick, I was a wreck—
Hands shaking. Voice trembling.
Terrified to fail again 😰

It became a vicious cycle 🔁
And I got bullied too 😔
I used to stutter. I struggled with reading and learning 📚❌

Still, I dreamed of being a Magician someday 🪄

I lived with a LOT of fear:
😟 Fear of not being good enough
😳 Fear of being laughed at
😨 Fear of failing

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and help my younger self face the world with more courage.

Fear keeps us stuck.
Stuck in the wrong job.
The wrong relationship.
The wrong version of life.

If you let it, fear will keep you from becoming who you were MEANT to be.

To beat fear, we need courage.
And courage is a muscle 💪
You’ve got to keep working on it.

I often ask myself:
👉 What have I been afraid of this week?
👉 What’s one big fear holding me back?
👉 Why am I afraid of it, really?

Fear isolates. It divides.
It kills love—for ourselves and others.

As a professional Magician , I’ve faced fear constantly:
🎩 Stage fright
🎯 Self-doubt
🎙 Fear of public speaking
💵 Fear of charging what I’m worth
👁 Fear of being judged
🚪 Fear of putting myself out there
🔥 Fear of failing in front of a live crowd

But every time I chose courage…
Something Magical happened.

I grew.
I connected.
I helped people feel something real.

And I got to bring joy to people around the world.

🪄 That’s why I’m exploring new ways to help others face fear, too.
