We’re thrilled to announce that Girls Club of South Shore, MA will be held at The Crafty Place in the Fall!

Jess Walsh, our certified Girls Club Teacher, will lead this amazing 5-week program for 8-11 year old girls teaching the basics of the female body, normalizing anatomy language, & recognizing the body as an amazing gift. Each class meets weekly for 90 minutes. Small, weekly classes allow the girls to ease into the content, and strengthen trust and community for an unforgettable experience.

What to Expect:
🌸 5 weekly classes (90 minutes each)
🌸 Taught by Jess Walsh, Certified Girls Club Teacher (also part of The Crafty Place Team!)
🌸 Held on Thursday after school or Saturday mornings
🌸 Small group size (8 girls)
🌸 Real information, zero shame, all celebration
🌸 The final class will be a celebration and fun crafting!

We’re so excited to offer an After School Craft Club Monday–Wednesday each week! This program is for ages 5–10.

Doors open at 3:00pm for those schools who get out earlier while the fun craft projects will begin at 3:30pm. Need to get your child from school to our studio? We’ve partnered with loop_shuttle to provide transportation! Ages 6+ can rely on their shuttle to get your child here.

If you haven’t heard yet, we’re hosting a Kids’ Clothing Swap and Merch Shop this Saturday 10am-12pm!

Have clothes to donate? Drop them off this week and you’ll get early access on Saturday to go shopping at 9:30am!

$10 ticket includes:
- Shopping bag to fill with kids’ clothes
- Fun kids activities for your child while you shop!

It’s National Lemonade Day, and I couldn’t let it pass without sharing something personal 🍋

Before I started The Crafty Place, I worked for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation — started in honor of Alex Scott, who began holding lemonade stands at age 4 while fighting cancer, and raised over $1 million before she passed away at age 8. Her foundation has since raised over $300 million for childhood cancer research.

That experience never left me. So this September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re hosting a huge Lemonade Stand right here at the studio. More details coming soon, but you can expect tons of fun crafts, games and of course delicious lemonade. Mark your calendars 💛
