Yay 🥂 And just like that in a year that seemed so bleak in so many ways we have been awarded one of the most beautiful weddings in the world for 2020! nor will it ever be.

We had the privilege to work with such a special couple last year in creating their Elegant Halloween Wedding. The state, venue, vendors, and guest count all changed due to Covid. But what remained throughout was a stunning vision of what a Halloween Wedding could be.

It might not be a wedding for everyone but it was a wedding for “them” and that is what I truly love about my wedding world. It’s about creating a celebration that is uniquely the couples. I could not be more proud to have this wedding stand the test of time as one the best!

I am beyond excited and grateful to share that I have won Best Wedding Planning Firm the last 2 years for the Best of North Idaho.

2020 and 2021 has thrown some curve balls and monkey wrenches into my beautiful wedding world. But I remain strong and resilient in making wedding dreams come true. I am so focused on my clients that I rarely get caught in the action of work.

Yes I’m a human bustle, veil tosser, bouquet holder, bobby-pin pinner, and lip gloss machine! Amongst so many other things 😉

But honestly I’m jumping up and down for joy that my love of weddings and events has been recognized to the point of winning awards.

I never thought 24 years ago when I just wanted to be around weddings and help that I would be considered one of the best. It’s beyond humbling to realize that my work gets recognized like this. I was always pushing the boundaries of everything and everyone around me. I’m so glad I did!!!

Moral of the story is be true to yourself and your passion.

So I thought it would be fun to share some behind the scenes photos of me over the years on wedding days. Enjoy!

We are only as good as the team around us!

I can’t thank the incredible vendors enough for the rockstar effort they put forth in this show. Overcoming challenges throwing an event for hundreds of people during a global pandemic. Seeing the value in coming together as an industry. Rocking out the first real live fashion show in what seems like forever.

I slept for over 10 hours last night and I’m ready to rock this town! Thank you for being in the trenches with me ❤️ 🥂

A huge thank you to Rose & Blossom and Woops for making the SAS Weddings booth both lovely and delicious for the Show at the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel.

It was a fabulous weekend that we are still recovering from 😉 🥂

Well it’s that time of year again when I ask for your vote. 🗳

Now through Jan 31 is the nomination period for the Best of 2021 Award. In a day an age where popularity contests are probably considered passé. It’s very relevant in my world.

In a year that has brought the wedding and event industry to it’s knees every single vote matters. It matters to stay current, relevant, and keep shining in the darkness. I was so completely honored to win Best of 2020 and I would be forever grateful for your vote again during this nomination period for 2021.

Happy Birthday to Sarah!

This year has been full of ups and downs for sure but I’m surrounded by amazing people both near and far. This birthday weekend I get to experience something that I didn’t even realize I had started to take for granted. Being a Wedding Planner.

It’s difficult to put into words the sorrow that so many of my clients have gone through this year with their weddings being rescheduled, postponed, and sometimes ultimately canceled. And then out of the shadows I get to be apart of an amazing wedding today. My very first of the year. I have 3 small elopements this fall and that will conclude my entire wedding season for 2020.

The emotional turmoil and financial strain for not just me but everyone around me in my event world has certainly taken a strong hold. So having this weekend to reflect on my next trip around the sun and who I let share in that beauty has been very powerful. The outpouring of love from friends and colleagues near and far has truly touched my heart. Thank you for taking time to remind me of the beauty in this world and we will survive this year.

I will not give up. I will not quit. I will not let go of being an event planner. I will not stop working tirelessly for my clients. I will not stop dreaming of the day when weddings and events are back in full force everywhere. I will never stop pivoting or getting as creative as I need to be.

Social Distancing and Event Planning are certainly clashing right now.

We are all facing uncharted territory with last minute cancellations and postponements of weddings, corporate groups, booked venues, hotel room blocks, group dine arounds, and travel on all levels.

We are actively working with all of our clients and vendors for the benefit of everyone’s health and safely. Please know where are here for you and actively working on your behalf.
