Two ways you can achieve liver wellness
Detoxification in the liver occurs in two processes: activation and conjugation. Activation is a process where waste products are activated or chemically modified to be ready to stick to something. Conversely, conjugation is the binding of this waste to active amino acids obtained from proteins, which then move it out of the liver through the blood. In healing your liver, there are two significant steps:
• Liver repair (high conjugation and low fuel) Promote liver repair with a diet rich in conjugation-boosting phytonutrients like fish, turmeric, papaya, garlic, radishes, soy products, and fiber-rich plant foods. Conjugating superfoods include proteins from poultry, pumpkin seeds, mollusks, lentils, mung beans, sunflower seeds, and white beans. Optimal healing can be encouraged by providing the liver with low fuel, which is achieved through combinations of these foods. Incorporate moderate amounts of carbs, focusing on fibers, resistant starch (e.g., bananas, plantains), and proteins or fats for effective results.
Diets rich in vegetables, fruits, and legumes support the liver in the efficient elimination of waste.
