💖

As society grows increasingly disconnected, owner Stephanie Erickson hopes to create a space that encourages connection without relying on alcohol or technological distractions.

Woke up to an awesome voicemail from this gentlemen who, through his drunken slurs, expressed his frustration that the “bar” isn’t open and asked if I was so goddamn incompetent because I’m a woman. He also offered to buy the whole damn building since the only thing I’m competent enough to do is run the apartments.

Even though this dude was completely hammered, I still got defensive and immediately jumped to wanting to justify why I’m not open yet. But I’m not going to do that, I’m building something special here and good things take time.

So if anyone knows “combat vet Steve”, bring him some aspirin and let him know he solidified my decision to open WITHOUT alcohol. And maybe buy the woman in your life a sweet treat because, yes, we do still have to put up with this nonsense in 2026.

We did it!

Let me tell you this was not the most straightforward process and even though I wasn’t alone in my confusion (per the OCM) I sure was alone in feeling like I didn’t complete the licensing process the right way… This is a huge load off my mind and a huge step for the lounge in making sure we have a little something for everyone to enjoy ☺️✌🏻

Now to make sure these products stay legal in the state of Minnesota! 💪🏻
