The Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort ended up being a favorite on the island. When you walk through the open-air lobby, it’s hard not to feel like you’ve arrived in Hawaii. Your site line immediately goes to ou seeing the pools and the ocean. The resort makes a great first impression. Guest rooms are modern, designed for comfort. We found the meeting space to be very functional for groups. Between the beach, multiple pools, and food quality, this is a property we would likely be recommending to most of our groups considering the ABC islands.

During our time in Curaçao, we visited Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao and were drawn to its prime location. The historic fort setting gives the resort plenty of character, while the nearby shopping and dining create an entertaining atmosphere. The meeting space and ballrooms were well suited for small to mid-sized groups, and the resort central location makes it easy for attendees to explore Curaçao's colorful downtown on foot.

We’ve recently been pleased with our sites at Renaissance properties and this was no exception with the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba which is one of the older hotels in Aruba. Located in downtown, guests are surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. The biggest attraction is definitely Flamingo Island. Most rooms feature balconies overlooking the water or city. The catering food quality was a standout. For groups, the resort offers large ballroom space and easy walkability to off-site activities, while being closer to the airport too.

The St. Regis Aruba was easily one of the most impressive resorts we visited during our Aruba site tours. The arrival experience, lobby bar, and public spaces all feel elevated and luxurious. Guest rooms are beautifully designed with spacious layouts, large bathrooms, soaking tubs, and balconies. We’re not sure why they elevated the beds on platforms – we’d have to assume that’s going to result in some broken toes, perhaps a good night light and everyone walks away unscathed. The rooftop restaurant was a favorite stop where we were taking photos with the gorgeous sunset views. For the right size group, a small beach party is a great option too (or head to a neighboring hotel that shares beach space for private functions.) While smaller than some neighboring resorts, it delivers a highly polished experience for groups looking for luxury.

Back to the Ritz-Carlton Aruba to say hi to our sales and events operations team for a closer look at their luxury offerings. You’ll notice the lobby feels upscale, with pool and ocean views and social gathering spaces. Guest rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms and balconies. The groups we have booked her have enjoyed the intimate outdoor event venues and upscale dining options. While the overall footprint feels more boutique than some neighboring properties, and is a bit further away than most hotels from the local shopping and night-time scene, this also makes it appealing for some of the groups too.

The Aruba Marriott has been another one of our clients’ favorite hotels and while we were on site, it had that fun, upbeat atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The look of the renovated guest rooms impressed us with their modern finishes and balconies. Good news is that while the conference space is in need of some love, plans are in place for a reno. We’re also a fan of the adult only pool which is under construction. The lobby is recently renovated and there are plenty of dining options to keep guests entertained. We had a large group beach dinner, besides being delicious and with amazing décor (thanks to the DMC), there was plenty of room while still feeling somewhat private even though only steps off the boardwalk. For groups looking for a beachfront resort, we’ll definitely keep this one on our list to consider should it align with their objectives.

Hyatt Regency Aruba was looking great – everyone loved the energy throughout the resort. The popular beach was busy with guests enjoying their nice loungers and umbrellas, and no one complains about located right in the middle of Palm Beach. The new restaurant featured delicious food and with the indoor / outdoor concept – it felt fresh and trendy. We especially liked the adults-only pool, the massive relaxing koi pond, the new coconut station on the beach, and the ability for large beachfront event private events too. Overall, it felt lively, social, and easy for attendees to enjoy both on and off property venues and activities.

Our event was held at the Hilton Aruba Resort and we loved our rooms in The Westerly (their brand new premiere tower which is a highlight of the stay here). We were impressed by how much the property has improved over the years to become a front runner for events. The Westerly rooms were spacious and modern, with large bathrooms, double sinks, large balconies with loungers, and plenty of closet storage – if for the short term, pack your warm jammies and hoodies though – the AC here was strong upon grand opening. The lobby has a great tropical feel and the rooftop Shore Club quickly became one of our favorite spots for outdoor breakfast and other private group meals. The flexible meeting space and the beachfront function optionson Palm Beach helped with this event’s success. Being able to walk to restaurants, shopping, and nightlife is a huge bonus.

Last Florida site for the month was to stop in and thank the Le Méridien Dania Beach at Fort Lauderdale Airport. Our recent financial group here enjoyed the open lobby for its natural gathering space, with a café, restaurant, lobby bar, and plenty of seating. The covered outdoor space right off the lobby, worked well for their reception and left no worry about the South Florida sun. Meeting space is split between the first and second floors, with larger ballroom space downstairs and smaller breakout rooms and conference rooms upstairs. While attendees won't find a beach nearby, the hotel's airport location and functional layout make it a practical choice for short fly-in meetings and events where the focus is on the agenda.
