Genesee County Photographers — quick question! 📸

As my prop collection continues to grow, I’m opening up full prop rentals for other photographers.

I can create just about any theme you’re looking for — birthdays, cake smashes, seasonal minis, styled shoots, and more. Instead of spending $150+ building out a theme you’ll only use once or twice you can simply rent a full setup and create your beautiful imagery.

✔️ Currently just $35 for a full 24-hour rental

I currently have a building full of props and decor, and as the weather starts breaking I’ll start photographing more of the setups so photographers can easily browse and choose their themes. You can pick and choose pieces and I’ll build your custom package and pack it for you to borrow.

For now, I wanted to quickly share a few new pieces I’ve added.

I’ve had a few inquiries, so just to be clear: my brand-new Easter Bunny costume is available for rental, but it will not be rented out casually or for rough use.

✨ Details:
• Size: Large
• Rental Rate: $35 for 24 hours
• Indoor use strongly preferred
• No food or drinks around the costume

🧼 Cleaning & Care:
The costume is properly disinfected and thoroughly aired out after each use. It must be returned clean, dry, and well cared for. If the costume is not properly cared for, the renter will be responsible for any repair costs and/or professional cleaning services needed due to damage or excessive soiling.

This is a brand-new costume and will be treated as such 🤍

Would any local photographers be interested in renting props and full themed setups for birthdays or mini sessions?

If you don’t have the storage space or don’t want to spend $150+ building out a full theme, would you rent a complete setup (props + decor + backdrop) for 24 hours for $35?

Santa Claus will return to Downtown Midland on Tuesday, December 2, marking the official start of the holiday season for the Midland Area Santa House.

Before the lighting ceremony, Santa and Mrs. Claus will travel from the Tridge to Main Street at 6 PM, joining the community outside the Midland County Courthouse. Around 6:30 PM, Santa will receive the keys to his home and light both the Courthouse and the Santa House, officially welcoming families to visit.

Located at the corner of M-20 and Main Street, the Midland Area Santa House has been a beloved community tradition since 1987. It’s free to visit, made possible by donor-supported funds at the Midland Area Community Foundation and the generosity of volunteers who bring holiday magic to life.

“The Midland Area Santa House is one example of what makes our community so special,” said Sharon Mortensen, President and CEO of the Midland Area Community Foundation. “It brings people together in the heart of Downtown Midland to celebrate generosity, connection, and joy, all things that make our community shine during the holiday season.”

🎄 Santa House Hours:
Open daily from December 2 to 23, please see the attached photos for specific times.

🌟 Sensory-Friendly Nights:
December 3, 4, and 5 – Families can call 989-839-9661 to schedule a calm, sensory-friendly visit.

🚂 Volunteer Sign-Ups:
Become one of Santa’s elves or help guide Northern Star Train rides! Registration opens Friday, November 7, at 9 AM at midlandfoundation.org/santahouse

This year’s opening day will be extra special as Santa and Mrs. Claus make an early stop at the Poseyville Preserve Ribbon Cutting that afternoon at 4:30 PM. The new Founders Crossing pedestrian walkway connects the Tridge, Downtown Midland, and Dow Diamond, completing a beautiful loop of recreation and green space.

“Founders Crossing, as part of the Poseyville Preserve Project, will create a gateway into Midland that celebrates our natural resources and welcomes residents and visitors into a vital area of our community,” said Mortensen.

After the ribbon cutting, guests can enjoy cocoa, cookies, and festive treats at the Alan W. Ott Family Pavilion before heading Downtown to see Santa light up the season.
