“The Way” Café Coffeehouse Returns!

After being closed for almost two years due to Covid-19, ‘The Way’ Café will be open again on Saturday, September 25 at 7:30 PM with our longtime friend John Polce.

Pastor Gary and John had a good phone visit back in June. John mentioned that he has recorded three new songs in his home studio, and has sung them as coffeehouses are reopening after Covid-19.

If you have not been blessed by John’s music before, please join us! And, if you have heard John before, make sure to join us in welcoming him back at the re-opening of The Way” Café!

Lawrence Chewning -- Friday, November 1, 2019, 7:00 PM

Some of you heard Lawrence last year on Sunday, October 7 when he ministered in music in the FCC Sanctuary. For those who have never heard him sing before, Lawrence Chewning is a Christian songwriter, recording artist, and speaker who has shared the message of Jesus Christ for over four decades. He wrote the song ‘The Anchor Holds’ which was recorded by Ray Boltz.

This year, Lawrence will be performing downstairs, in the Fellowship Hall. Please join us this Friday evening, and be blessed by his music!!

Saturday, October 19, 2019 -- John Polce

John Polce could not to do coffeehouses for much of the last year. In August he received clearance to resume his music ministry, and called me to book a date for him to come to ‘The Way’ Café. We chose October 19

He may give a testimony that night about what he has been through in the last year. One good thing that happened is he has written some new songs. He read me the words of one of the new songs. They reflect what he has been through in a universal way.

If you have been ministered to by John’s music in the past, do not miss this concert. And, if you have not heard him minister before, this would be a good time to get to know him and his music.

Old friends "Raging Grace" return on Saturday, December 9. For most of you Dean, Steve and Dave need no introduction. These guys are a veteran blues-rock trio that gets better with age!

Let’s get behind this night! If we could all attend, and invite at least one person we know who likes outstanding blues-rock music, we could fill the hall and many would be blessed!

Saturday, October 14, 2017 -- Remix Worship Team with Chris Jensen

The Remix Worship Team has undergone a major transformation in the last year. They now have a full-time, fully credentialed music leader in Denice Marquez. And our long-time friend and brother in Christ, Chris Jensen, is lending his musical gifts to the team as other musicians and singers are developing their gifts. Pastor Gary met with both for over an hour in early June. He could sense their enthusiasm for musical worship ministry.

So, on Saturday, October 14 at 7:30 PM Chris Jensen will open with a short solo set. Then, after a brief intermission the Remix Worship Team will do about an hour long set of worship music.

The Remix Ministry is a dynamic youth and young adult ministry that has been growing for more than five years. They meet for worship on the second Saturday of every month at the Strand on High Street, in Clinton, MA, beginning at 10:30 AM. Pastor Gary has sat in the back and been blessed by the worship and message.

So, join us at "the Way" Café on Saturday, October 14. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the music beginning around 7:30 PM.

SUNDAY, July 16, 2017 -- SPECIAL EVENING -- Lawrence Chewning

Lawrence Chewning is a Christian songwriter, recording artist and speaker from South Carolina who has shared the message of Jesus Christ for the past four decades. His most well known compositions are the Ray Boltz standards, ‘The Anchor Holds’ and ‘At the Foot of the Cross.’ Beginning in 1979, Lawrence co-pastored a church in Massachusetts for sixteen years. During this time he became close to some people currently connected to First Congregational Church, the host of ‘The Way’ Café.

Lawrence will only be in Massachusetts one week this year. Every year an Eastern Mass. coffeehouse schedules him on a Saturday. It is one of his biggest concerts of the year. This year he is appearing there on Saturday, July 15. He has graciously agreed to do ‘The Way’ Café on the following night, Sunday, July 16 while he is still in Massachusetts!

Please set aside this date to be blessed by the music ministry of Lawrence Chewning!

"Reaching" will be at "The Way" Café Christian Coffeehouse on Saturday, September 24, 2016.

This is a group with Renato Menezes and other musicians and singers. Their music is a blend of hymns, and the best praise songs, with a slight Brazilian musical flavor!

Saturday, June 18, 2016 -- Fran Reagan and Friends

After a long absence (he ministered with Joe Renzoni on December 17, 2011 and sat in with Tim Gunderman for Christmas specials on December 15, 2012 and December 21, 2013), Fran Reagan and some of his musician friends will return to minister at ‘The Way’ Café on June 18!

Fran is a thoughtful singer-songwriter who has encouraging insights for living faithfully through the disappointments that life can bring. But, the overriding truth he presents is that when we know Jesus and He is in our lives, we will experience joy!

SO, set aside this night on your calendars and come to be encouraged and uplifted by the music ministry of Fran Reagan and friends!
