Many people don’t realize that the brand’s legacy was shaped by a remarkable woman: Madame Clicquot. In 1805, at just 27 years old, she took over her late husband’s champagne house becoming one of the first female entrepreneurs of modern times.
She didn’t just run the company she transformed the champagne industry. Madame Clicquot invented the riddling table, a revolutionary process still used today to clarify champagne, and she expanded the house internationally, turning it into one of the most recognized champagne brands in the world.
Her legacy is one of bold decisions, innovation, and resilience the very spirit that makes this brand so iconic.
