Recent email that went out from the Mertoparks about the fish cleaning station.
Good afternoon boaters:
We wanted to provide a quick update on the hot water heater. The particular heater that is used at E.55th is a special-order unit which is why it has taken some time for it to be delivered. The good news is that it has arrived and is being installed as we speak. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
Also, it appears we need to send a quick reminder about the fish cleaning station and charter operations within the marina. As a reminder, charter operations are NOT PERMITTED to allow guests into the marina at any time. Any guest permitted into the marina by a dock holder is held liable and responsible to the same rules and regulations that the dock holder is, per your dockage contract. While charter operations are permitted to dock their boat within the marina with a valid contract, they are only allowed to pick up and drop off their customers at the courtesy slips off of the fuel dock or at another location.
Additionally, lately the fish cleaning station has been repeatedly left a mess. The area is provided as an amenity for dock holders only (not charter captains and guests). It has been abused with users not taking care of the area and cleaning up after themselves. We will be forced to remove it all together if it cannot be taken care of appropriately, which is something we do not want to do, so please, after using the area, clean up after yourselves appropriately.
Thank you for your attention to these matters and have a great boating season. As always, if you need anything or have any questions, be sure to let August, Nick and the marina team know.
