Hi everyone๐๐
I get asked a lot about the the difference between event planning and day-of coordination so I'm dedicating this post to give some insight to the differences between the two.
But first, about this๐ท: One of my favorite floral walls from
So, before you choose a package make sure you know the difference between these two services as they are different.
โจAn event planner gets involved months prior to an event whereas the day-of coordinator comes into the picture 1-2 months prior or week-of the event depending on the event needs.
โจEvent planners will assist with securing the ideal venue, vendors & services needed for your event based on the event budget. They will be involved in vendor meetings and help with decision-making, event timeline, decorations, etc. On the day of the event they will be there to ensure everything goes according to plan & coordinate all aspects of the entire event.
โจDay-of coordination is an extension of planning but not the reverse. A day-of coordinator comes into the picture after you've already secured your event venue, vendors, etc. The coordinator will meet with you to collect all the info regarding your event, recommend vendors/services if needed and assist you with your event timeline. On the day of the event they will be there to ensure everything goes according to your plan and coordinate your vendors & other details of the event. In some events they may be also involved with decoration set-up.
Hope you find this helpful! ๐๐
