“Horhn Anniversary” we had the pleasure of doing food and decor for Cliff & Rhonda . 46 years together and a beautiful family! They had a cocktail party with shades of green worn by their guest and we incorporated it for the decor … a HUGE shoutout to Robert 💋 and Sherri … she wasn’t feeling f well but she supported and rallied through as she always does!! Amilia, Sheryl did her thing with the chocolate covered strawberries AMAZING !! And she assisted us … Debbie & Jimmie were a gem from start to finish! And my Sarah executed as she ALWAYS does even though she couldn’t stay the whole time!! Joi and Danielle were amazing as well helping with unload and setup! Eric thanks so much for always coming to my rescue with fried chicken 🥰 and Chloe the cookies were a HIT!! LOVE ALL YOU GUYS!’ The staff and owners at “Another Place Banquet” were very accommodating and pleasant to work with! We really appreciate everyone’ 😘💞

This is WORK, WORK, WORK!!! This is the work that no one sees !!! All the hard work that goes into putting an event together … for MONTHS, WEEKS , DAYS, early mornings , late nights to make it all come together!!! Cleaning and organizing this garage so I can move around and find all the items needed to do food and decor !! Even though I love doing it … just know it doesn’t come easy!!! But my CREW does those that have faithfully stuck with me over the years and even those that have helped long term and short term with anything we’ve done I appreciate you all!!! But I especially appreciate my Sherri Sherri Weaver and of course my husband Robert Barnes they are ALWAYS there from start to finish digging in the trenches to make every event as successful as we can possibly make it! Love those TWO!! It goes without saying I could do nothing without JEHOVAH … I pray hard sometimes especially times when I just want to throw in the towel especially at times when things are not flowing the way I want I just want and say … forget it! 😔😢 but all things to Jehovah and he pulls me through … To see the happy recipients of every event makes it all worth the blood , sweat and tears

The dessert table setup from the party … I had some new things that I added to the inventory and I created another shadow box stand for the beautiful cake… the girls did a great job!! 💋 I love the ch*****ne satin linens with the gold!! 😉 Sheryl C made the strawberries for their party she always does an amazing job!! 🥰 Thanks to everyone that contributed pictures!! 😘

Yesterday was for a really special couple Darnell & Sheryl Chambers. Sheryl C We’ve known them since they were kids before. Being at there wedding and watching them blossom over 20 years has truly been a joy to watch … we did decor, backdrop, menu cards and dessert table setup. A “HIGE SHOUTOUT” to everyone that assisted over the last few days to pull everything together for the big day!! Sherri Weaver Robert Barnes Brittany Ashley Amilia, Janet, Journee and Jennifer for jumping in and working on the desserts! Peggy Lee you went to the master class of backdrop design with my boo!! 😉 Everyone went above and beyond to make their day special! I truly appreciate all everyone did! Love you all😘

I’m generally a fresh flower girl for all centerpieces but since I had so many artificial flowers left for the back drop I decided to use them for the bud vase centerpieces and they actually popped! 🤔 not sure I will use artificial again or not … the jury is still out!! 😉!! I love the way the menu cards turned out that I printed … the holders are new to our inventory as well!! So are the mini lamps! So many ideas for those!!

No I haven’t retired from catering just yet … we added some new things to our inventory one of which is this backdrop created by my husband … I was a little apprehensive to tackle it! Robert was full steam ahead. Interested in renting it message me! We can tweak it somewhat depending on your colors and needs!! Loveseat rental available from Kindred in Time…

We did our food boxes which we haven’t done since the pandemic … for a “plant party” for one of my “Besties” the sisters had amazing time planting flower pots to take home for their yards, porches and patio’s. What an excellent idea and a nice way to enjoy the start of the summer enjoying creation and each other’s company in the sunshine!’ Our boxes included a small charcuterie container with crackers, homemade chicken salad on a croissant , a small tossed salad, meatball appetizer, chips, cake loaf, specialty cookie, candy bag. Bottled water, can of soda , enough to snack on for the day! 😋

Yesterday was a little bitter sweet… we shared many smiles, food, hugs and some tears. “Going Away” gathering for Asha she will TRULY be missed at the Woodland Congregation. She’s going to help out at another congregation which truly shows her genuine love for Jehovah people and support of the truth. Her loving spirit, growth and spirituality was shared by the sentiments of many that commented about her yesterday. Her smile, HUGS and laughter can light up a room!!! She will be missed but we know Jehovah has much in store for her! A “HUGE SHOUTOUT” to everyone that assisted with the food, and cleanup! Robert didn’t feel well yesterday so he wasn’t with me but I TRULY appreciate all that assisted with setup , serving food and the final breakdown I could not have done it all without them… Clay, Cheisa, Darrell, Kuldeep, Dionna, & Wade. The end is always a lot but they made it easy… Love you guys!! I still missed my Robert but they made my load light! THANK YOU DAVID MERCADO for capturing the day! Beautiful pictures!!
