Yesterday was a little bitter sweet… we shared many smiles, food, hugs and some tears. “Going Away” gathering for Asha she will TRULY be missed at the Woodland Congregation. She’s going to help out at another congregation which truly shows her genuine love for Jehovah people and support of the truth. Her loving spirit, growth and spirituality was shared by the sentiments of many that commented about her yesterday. Her smile, HUGS and laughter can light up a room!!! She will be missed but we know Jehovah has much in store for her! A “HUGE SHOUTOUT” to everyone that assisted with the food, and cleanup! Robert didn’t feel well yesterday so he wasn’t with me but I TRULY appreciate all that assisted with setup , serving food and the final breakdown I could not have done it all without them… Clay, Cheisa, Darrell, Kuldeep, Dionna, & Wade. The end is always a lot but they made it easy… Love you guys!! I still missed my Robert but they made my load light! THANK YOU DAVID MERCADO for capturing the day! Beautiful pictures!!

I wanted to share this because I saw it on Facebook… we all love personally and professionally I know we do!! She not only is an amazing sister whom I have collaborated with professionally through the business but also on a personal level. We wanted to lend a helping hand so I wanted to share this. Last Night was a beautiful outpouring of love for a beautiful couple that we have been friends with for OVER 35 years Tonya and I have been besties since we met in the same congregation the 4 of us pioneered together for many years. Even lived together for a while!! True friendship!! So needless to say when Dionne came with the idea to do something for them Robert and I were on board! Even though we had about 3 weeks to pull it all together!! We tried to SURPRISE them but I think something went wrong 😂… nonetheless everyone enjoyed themselves. HUGE SHOUTOUT to and helping with the venue. .worley and DJ for setup and day of … they worked so HARD both days… the day of would not have come together as it did with Ashley Merritt and Brittany Harris those girls jumped right in the whole night we could not have managed without them. They were AMAZING. I missed my Sherri being there but she worked with behind the scenes with prep. And of course we started to get additional help just when we needed it Mom Worley , Barb Dana, Dylon DJ Randi, Riley Asha Brenda Tierra Kelly, Yasmin and so many others that came through at the end for cleanup!! And of course my Rob … I love him he handled the majority of the display while we prepped in the back … he knows me so well!! We did small plates, I had a ceviche recipe that I wanted to try , made charcuterie cups veggie and fruit plus pulled pork sliders! The young folks did good with the beverage station! ALL & ALL an amazing night!

Soul Food Spring Rolls … we made so many of these, we tweaked the recipe to make it our own eliminating some of the ingredients that we had seen and tasted and decided to use a spring roll wrapper instead of an egg-roll wrapper … Angie loved these and she asked me to make her some… I had plan to make them the week she suddenly died 😢 I will be happy to figure out how to make them for her in the new world! 🥲

This popped up on my phone memory today!! 🥰 Time flies … what a privilege to have had this opportunity twice this was our first time Jan 7, 2015 … forever grateful to “New Day Ckeveland” for the exposure! I’m not even sure how or why we got the call! It’s been a good run!!

Woodland Congregation Picnic… what an AWESOME day a little chilly but not bad with a jacket or sweater 😉 In harmony with yesterdays text it was a perfect occasion to bond with our brothers and sisters as a family! And love each other from the heart! It was true testimony of what happens when we all come together and make it work!! Love our BROTHERHOOD!

“Sisters Gathering” for … thanks again for allowing us to do your setup again this year along with the gift bags. She collaborated with a few other sisters to put the evening together for some food, encouragement, fun and dancing… “Boots on the Ground” Style. They were decked out in their western outfits. Life goes on… we did catering for a beautiful lady we met when we did the CHUMS luncheon a few weeks ago. Her daughter graduated from college and she wanted to give her a small party with close family and friends! Rough day emotionally but my Sherri and Robert helped to pull it all together… Mini chicken and waffles, hot shrimp / crab dip, sweet & spicy meat balls, pasta bake, fresh fruit cheese, cracker display, mini tossed salad cups, dessert variety!! Lemonade / Infused water… thanks so much Pam!!

Thursday was the hardest event space set up I’ve ever had in the 15+ years we have been in business. The last time we did decor here Angie was with us helping as she often did!! Now having to decorate for the repast of my bestie was beyond difficult. 😢 I love working with flowers but to select just the right mix of pink and white flowers for the floral arrangements. Pink being one of her favorite colors! It was all just so surreal!!! See you SOON my sister friend! I appreciate my other besties Robert, Sherri, Debbie, Robin and Tasha … Angie’s neice. Not to mention all those that pitched in at the end on clean up!! Love you all! Robert did an AWESOME job executing the floral arrangement inspiration I found on Pinterest… last photo…Love you ALWAYS!!
