Mid-summer on Larchmere

This sure is a different kind of summer on Larchmere. The street is getting a new skin, a facelift (not too much, just what looks good on a beautiful old lady that has been around and seen it all), Porchfest attendance is doubling in size , again.

Here, at Bon Vivant, we figured that the best time to sit down an read a book and remodel/re concept would be right about now, while the "getting worst before it gets better" part of the road work is hitting. This way we get to watch the excavators graze and listen to the pick-hammers chirp while sipping what will be left of our great Mouton Cadet Rose after this last crazy weekend. Unless Porch Swing and Gene’s Jazz Hot, who will be rouble-rousing this Saturday, drink it all. Then what? We may have to drink Champagne and eat cake.

Like with any facelift, you need to look your best before you go at it again. So this Saturday's Porch Swing and Gene's Jazz Hot concert and this Sunday brunch will be our last for now.
