I wavered for months whether or not to do a vow renewal. I’m already married, I knew it was going to be a lot of work, & Steve knows I love him. Then a family member passed. An uncle said to me, “We can’t let it only be funerals when we see each other…” On that ride home those words resonated w/ me. I knew we needed to get together, and I knew exactly how we were going to celebrate, a 25th celebration.
We feel blessed that our family & friends were able to come and spend this evening w/ us. Truthfully that’s what this was ALL about. The vow renewal was just an excellent reason/excuse to make it happen. Steve & I already know what we mean to each other but my hope for the night was to make everyone come together, have fun, see lots of smiles, feel the love, & create beautiful memories. And that’s exactly what we both saw and felt our entire anniversary weekend.
I had dreamt of this day back in the 1990’s when we visited Toccoa for the 1st time. Our wedding day was amazing but it didn’t happen at the falls. Then when our daughter & son in law decided to get married, we held their day there. Our business was born because of that day at Toccoa and along the last 9+ years we’ve been able to help hundreds of other couples create their ceremony areas.
Steve & I are both still over the moon happy w/ how perfectly the entire day came together so beautifully. My heart is so incredibly full, I still get happy tears when I think about it. Now, exactly 1 year later, I can say I don’t regret the decision to move forward w/ this. I’d 100% choose to do it all over again. I’m so thankful our daughters & staff at TFC suggested doing this. I can’t express how grateful we are for the huge parts that our family, friends, and all the excellent vendors had in making this amazing day happen for us.
