TOP FOUR TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER

With over 30 years of fundraising experience, we’ve put together our top tips to make your non-profit fundraiser successful.

1. SECURE SPONSORSHIP AND UNDERWRITERS

A professional sponsorship packet goes a long way to give your organization credibility. Listing different sponsorship levels, costs, & benefits in clear formatting will make it clear that potential donors can trust your organization. While title sponsors (large donors covering wide sections of the event) are fantastic to have, smaller sponsors & underwriters that cover specific portions of the event can help provide entertainment & details that will keep guests coming back for years to come.

2. HOST A VIP PARTY

An easy way to bring in extra money is to hold a special event for donors who have paid for VIP tickets. This exclusive party can be an hour prior to general admission, & can include special entertainment, an open bar, & appetizers. VIPs can also receive personalized laminated badges & other benefits after general admission arrives, like priority seating, extra raffle tickets, etc.

3. FIND UNUSUAL ITEMS FOR THE RAFFLE TABLE

These prizes can be donated by local shops & services, supporters of your non-profit, or large corporations. You can also partner with an event planner to have them coordinate & manage raffle prizes. Make prizes even more enticing by decorating the raffle table with stunning displays.

4. HAVE MULTIPLE, CREATIVE, MONEY-MAKING OPPORTUNITIES

Auctions: Organize a live or silent auction to boost your revenue. Any non-profit has access to consignment companies that provide authenticated signed memorabilia, travel experiences & more; you’d only pay the consignment company if the item sells.

50/50 Casino Raffle: Guests purchase one (or more!) card out of a 52-card deck for this raffle. At the end of the night, a winning card is chosen & the money is split between your charity and the winner. Many times, guests donate their winnings back to the organization.

Casino Night: Hosting pop-up casinos has always been our most successful fundraising entertainment. Guests purchase chip vouchers to play our games & turn in their chips for raffle tickets for your prize table. Encourage volunteers to talk guests into playing; if you think guests won’t know how to play, our dealers will teach them! Our dealers will ensure your guests have fun while encouraging the sale of extra chip vouchers to increase your profits. We also offer games with no experience needed like slot machines, money wheels, and more. Using the right casino company to consult with you on gaming revenue and prizes will make this process a lot easier to meet your fundraising goal.
