Just an fyi most venue coordinators would not handle it, they would get me…your wedding planner.

Backstory:
Parents set up this beautiful chuppah they’ve been working on for months before we arrived on site. My lead and I saw how pretty it was, went inside to grab the rest of the decor and came out to the wind knocking it over and basically tearing it to pieces. Bending bolts used, breaking flowers, etc. We quickly get to work to put it back together before anyone notices (wedding party), secure the posts, and all is good! Not involving one member of the wedding party.

Even if your venue comes with a venue coordinator, you still need a day of coordinator! For more reasons than I can count…..

You see the beautiful wedding day. ✨

You don’t see the torrential downpour.
You don’t see the tornado warning during cocktail hour. 🌪️
You don’t see 175 chairs being moved.
And you definitely don’t see your wedding planner standing on a cardboard box trying to soak up mud puddles. 😂

Because sometimes being a wedding planner means doing whatever it takes to make sure your couple gets the day they dreamed of — even when Mother Nature has other plans.

And somehow… after all the chaos, the day still looked like THIS. 🤍✨

That’s the part of wedding planning I’ll never get tired of: making the magic happen, even when things don’t go according to plan.

Because after spending years helping other couples plan their weddings, I’m officially planning my own!

And let me tell you… being the wedding planner and being the bride are two VERY different things.

So in this series, I’m bringing you along for the entire journey—the decisions, the details, the things I’m absolutely obsessed with, the things I’m realizing I don’t actually care about, the things that go wrong, and all of the behind-the-scenes moments you normally don’t get to see.
