"The End of an Era." | Today is a bittersweet one, because today we announce the permanent closure of The Opera House at Craigmiles Hall. What a journey it's been.

Over the past 3 years we hosted thousands of guests above the bustling streets of Cleveland, TN. The vast majority of our patrons had never stepped foot inside Craigmiles Hall before, nor knew its history. It was our honor to share the beauty and history of this great building with our city, and remind our guests that they were celebrating "inside the logo of Cleveland, TN, itself." ❤️

Thank you to all who supported our small business and chose The Opera House for your special events and milestones - you helped us accomplish one of our company goals: to breath life back into those beautiful walls. We also want to give a HUGE thanks to the family and friends who helped us write this amazing chapter of our lives, and who also helped us see that chapter come to a close.

For those who have asked why we are closing - this wasn't an announcement we expected to make.

In January 2024 we announced that we had signed a fixed lease through June 2026. We were excited for the future and ready to dig in. And importantly for a small business, the lease's locked-in rate allowed us to plan our venue growth in a sustainable manner.
..but then we found out that our lease wasn't going to be honored and we were presented with a significant price increase this year. This was a complete shock to us and totally derailed our business plans at this location... but most importantly, it told us that no matter what guarantees we were given, they may be taken away.

Craigmiles Hall is a significant and beautiful building - one that Cleveland, TN, is lucky to have. But it came with many unexpected challenges for a venue and studio. And this particular curveball was just too much.

But that's ok. Sometimes good things must come to an end.

And what a good time it was. 🥰 🥂

For those who might wonder- no, Muse Mind Studios is not shutting down. We will continue to offer photo, video, event planning & coordination and other creative services to our beloved hometown and beyond. We're also excited to continue our partnerships and collaborations with organizations like Mainstreet Cleveland and the Museum and Cultural Center at 5ive Points! (Keep an eye out for activities happening in October!) We just won't be located inside Craigmiles Hall anymore.

For the last 21 years, the annual Grape Escape Wine Dinner and Auction has helped raise over $250k for the Museum and Cultural Center at 5ive Points in Cleveland, TN, and this year's "big ticket" finale auction item was a ✨ Private Cocktail Party ✨ at The Opera House!😱🥰

This auction item was a collaborative effort from multiple vendors dontating their services, and it ended up raising $10,000 for the musuem this year!

We’re honored to donate our services and collaborate with these other incredible partners to support the museum’s mission of preserving Ocoee Region history and culture.

🍷 Complimentary wine from the museum collection

And special thanks to Cafe Roma for hosting the auction! This year, auction attendees enjoyed a 4-course chef dinner, wine pairings, and a silent auction for wine-related items. But, like every year, the night ended with a live auction, where our venue was featured as the finale item!

Another Sweet 16 Party on the books!! We had SO much fun hosting Emily and her family and friends last weekend. Emily thought she was coming to our building for a "Friends Photoshoot" with photographer Locke Smith... but when Emily came around the corner she was welcomed with a huge "SURPRISE!"

Her astonishment and shrieks of fun could be heard throughout the entire building! Kudos to Laura Patterson and her crew for pulling off such an awesome event, and we were so glad you chose The Opera House!
