UPDATE (July 18): Payment has been received via Cash App. It took a lot to get here, but I’m glad it’s finally resolved. THANK YOU to everyone who supported me and my business 🫶🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾
This post is being shared to warn other venues, vendors, and service providers—especially in Clearwater/Tampa Bay, Miami, and Chicago—to proceed with caution when engaging in business with Danielle L. Moore.
A police report for theft of services has been filed with the Clearwater Police Department following a nonpayment incident involving Danielle.
On July 10, 2025, she hosted a wedding reception at my boutique event venue, Studio Twelve Eight, in Clearwater, FL. She booked last minute after stating her original venue had canceled due to an electrical fire. Wanting to help, I rearranged my schedule and made accommodations on short notice.
She received full-day usage of the venue and services, including:
• Event venue with tables and chairs
• Decor
• Magic mirror photobooth
• Floral backdrop
• And additional setup elements provided as part of her rental package
The event was completed in full, and all contracted services were delivered as promised. The ACH payment of $2,783.51 failed the day after the event. On Saturday, July 12, Danielle stated the payment would be made by Monday, July 14 at noon. As of today, she has not followed through, has not responded to communication, and I have confirmation that her emails have been read.
Danielle is a Chicago-based business owner with a brick-and-mortar bookstore and a sizable online following. I’m including this information because she identifies publicly as a professional, and other professionals deserve to be aware of her actions before entering into agreements with her. This post reflects my direct experience.
Everything stated is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and documentation is available where applicable.Share with other businesses so they don’t go through this. If you’ve had a similar experience with this person, please DM me.
